  • There are 2 screens back to back so you can watch from both sides of the river. If its really packed (ie queues to get in) you can/may get a pass out. There are lots of places to sit apart from the Park Live are - along the river banks especially. There are also picnic tables in the food areas and also dotted about elsewhere. We went to the Panasonic 3D pavillions which showed highlights from previous days and the opening ceremony. We may try other pavillions when we go to the Athletics on Sunday evening. There is every type of food outlet you can think of!
  • There are - or were - long queues to get into the big screen bit. But go a bot further away from the entrance down to the canal side walk and just walk along to the screens.

Most importantly, try your luck at every venue within the park. Go to the Ticket Reconciliation Office - pretty much a portacabin near at least one of the entrances of each venue - and ask if any are available. That's how we got water polo tickets to a 'full' event and how mates got into the main stadium. Worth a go.

You can take any food in that you want provided that it fits in a bag that will fit under a seat. But only 100ml of liquid.

    Enjoy!
