So difficult to call this year. Most of these candidates would walk it any other year.

For me it's one of Wiggins, Farah, Ennis or, outside shot, Murray.

I'll go for Ennis - for that arse alone!

Chris Hoy for me as the greatest British Olympian in history. . . . . .and a man of genuinely wonderful personality. A real role model.
  • Sometimes there is more than be a winner at sport as much as well all inspire to be but tonight..................

Martine Wright - you sweetheart are an inspiration to every British citizen.......you put everyone to shame after what you have been through, and achieved, and still come out strong and a winner.........and you have stuck two fingers up to the cowards who tried but never did and never will take you away !!!

Take a bow Martine - you deserve every happiness that comes your way - and thank you for not only being an inspiration - for being an inspirer too........

You would think they'd have sat her nearer the front though. Poor cow had to walk miles to the stage.
  • Jessica Ennis. My word, cracking arse!!

  • Was at Box Hill where BW put himself on the line for Cav, as he did in Paris, at the risk of his own chance at road race. Top bloke.

    Yeah, we'll done Wiggins.

Not my choice, but you can't say he didn't deserve it - and he certainly has a personality!

    .
  • If I was Mo Farah I would consider running for the US. Beaten by Andy Murray ?
  • He won a Grand Slam, a gold and a silver medal. Just the most competitive year there's been.
