not a bad way to go - death by cheeseburger. blockquote>
Absolute tosh...you know nothing....FACT
well it's still open to debate, the first coroner say it was drugs and the second one said heart attack with no suggestion that drugs caused it and another says it was chronic constipation... and then of course there's the people that say he faked his death because the mafia were after him and others that say he was adducted by aliens.

The OFFICIAL cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia, erratic heart rate, the assumption was, diet, over use of prescription drugs and general lifestyle, but that is ony the assumption, which most people who knew him or knew of his lifestyle would subscribe too. He did not die on the toilet eating a cheeseburger, he was however, found in his bathroom in the mid afternoon face down in the carpet, in pyjamas and bathrobe (dressing gown to me & you) he told his then girlfriend Ginger Alden at about 9am in the morning as he was trying to sleep for the day (he was nocturnal for most of his adult life), that he couldnt sleep, and was going to read a book in his reading chair, which he had in his rather sumptious bathroom (large compared to most of ours would be).
The Mafia side of things, is infact true, the FBI have admitted that he was under threat, because he was due to give evidence against a local mafia boss/gang that had conned him into financing two large jet planes, and then did one with the money, the faking of his death comes from that, its upto individuals to believe what they want. The FBI have also, through the freedom of information act, admitted that an FBI agent who happened to be a part time musician, did tour with Elvis's stage band during 73/74, as cover to travel the country to carry out investigations against known dealers/mafia bosses. All real, all true.
Death was probably The King's best career move (as it is for so many). Can you imagine him being wheeled onto a Vegas stage 35 years on? He'd be a parody of himself for sure - he'd even make Paul McCartney look good.

Yes enough said by Ray Peterson eleven years before Elvis - a song written by Baker Knight. Did Elvis write any of own material? I'm beginning to wonder whether he was just the Rick Astley of his era.

Best you do some research then.
Genuinely interested in this chaps, not being argumentative, but how many of his songs did he write?
Must admit I've not liked any of his songs apart from Suspicious Minds but know plenty of people who love his stuff. Absolutely no doubting he was a wonderful entertainer, just not my cup of tea musically.

but not as good as raphael, who died after a night of excessive sex.
