Steve Kean so not in control at Blackburn

  • Couldn't believe it when I read that. Living in Thailand I see a lot of Shebby Singh as a pundit for Premier League broadcasts - the guy is completely clueless. Shows that Blackburn have not learned much from their relegation and that SK is just a puppet and present/future scapegoat...albeit we knew that already.

Poor management from the ownership which will undoubtedly leave the club in a mess down the road.

  • A bit like that fly on the wall documentery about our club.....though that was only a piss take...hopefully.
  • This article rather inadvertently sums up the ineptitude of the man.

If I was a Blackburn fan I would be absolutely livid, Jordan Rhodes or no Jordan Rhodes.

  • Just goes to prove what everyone's been saying all along. He's just the Venkys bitch and does what he's told.....................................
  • ...but deep down inside, dont you just want him to do well?

The blackburn fans on a human level treated him terribly so I'd love to see him be a success at Blackburn and see how they react

On your logic, surely it would be better if he leaves B/burn and has his success elsewhere? Now that would really rattle em.........................................

  • What gets me is why the media are so against Blackburn's Keane Out protest? If that was happening here I would be livid.
  • Admire his bravery to continue the job he's doing, though I am amazed he hasn't quit - even just for his family's sake.

May have been harsh but most if not all fans around the country would probably go to those lengths to get their point across
  • Let's not forget that he stabbed Allardyce in the back in order to get that job. Got no sympathy for him whatsover and every sympathy for the Blackburn fans - if you went out with the intention of destroying a football club then you'd be hard pushed to do a better job of it than Kean and Venkys have done at Blackburn.

Has to be some sinister stuff going on in the background for Kean to still be in that job - there is nothing dignified about clinging on to a position when such a vast proportion of supporters have made it clear that they don't want him their. And as FoD says, very strange indeed that he seems to have the wholehearted support of everyone in the media, the same media that is usually desperate to start piling the pressure on underperforming managers at the first opportunity.

Yeah, so brave. Why doesn't he quit his £1M pa job. I've heard that there are Prem & Champ clubs, all waiting for him.

Alernatively, he'll be back to coaching on £30K pa.

    So brave.

    *All figures are estimated.
  • I reckon they will win it this year.
  • sounds like Sorondo and Pouso type signings to me.
  • I wonder if any of these signings are 'the best centre half you've never heard of' (although I did quite like Diawara in the end)

Play-offs at best for them. I can see them winding up in administration if they don't get promoted in a few seasons and I don't reckon they will with all the negativity at the club.

Im not a fan of Kean but i think the way there fans treated him was simply pathetic and showed the worst of human nature, plus anyone who screws over Allardyce is doing something right.

I think they will get top 2 this year.(if the fans stop what they are doing)
  • Cant see it - reckon they'll do the same as us - threaten this year , then down to L1 next season.
  • I like the resolve and balls kean has shown ore the past 2 years in the face of the fans and other shit that has come his way - but after watching the interview on sky last night regarding the 3 players that guy sheby had signed and kean having not seen them - and then to talk about how they are to play and fit into the squad - made him look like a puppet - he must be on great money .... But surely he must have more pride .......

I think he will get them in a promotion spot and then they will sack him and replace him a controversial appointment - how about DiCanio
  • People always say that Kean stabbed Big Sam in the back but I've never heard exactly what it was he was supposed to have done. Anyone know? Or is this just one of those "Well, they say..." gossipy type things?

Yeah, I'm still in the dark too. I'm aware Big Sam is taking legal action against him, what for I'm not sure tbh.

Pretty sure it's to do with what Kean said about him in HK.

There was a video on YouTube that was quite damning. He basically slagged Big Sam off behind his back.

Did it actually have anything to do with Alladyce getting the boot though? I mean, did Venkys see the video and say "Right, that bloke with the moustache has got to go"?

But we all know the rules. What's said in Hong Kong, stays in Hong Kong..........................

    god blackburn fans are ****
  • Some say our fans are bad for having a go when things are bad. But when you look at that......
Absolutely ridiculous and I hope they don't go back up.
  • There fans must be delighted with that result, means they can go back to screaming abuse at a manger doing his best to save there club from doing what us and many other bigger teams have had to do due to not getting back to the premier first try.
  • I have an irrational dislike towards Blackburn (poss due to the FMC & buying the title) so I hope they languish in the 4th div for the next twenty years. Steve Kean might feel the same
  • It was bloody disgraceful!
  • Murphy looked well passed it.
