Just read the initial article and have to agree with Oriental Addick about Shebby Singh.
I wondered why I haven't seen in TV this season.
The last time I quoted Shebby on this forum was when he stated after one substitute appearance that Jonjo Shelvey will never make a Premier League footballer!
Blackburn fans are an odd bunch. They're coming across like spoilt children. That said, I'd be worried if we had owners with questionable motives. Oh, hang on...
Blackburn were walloped last night by 'Boro who looked good. To an extent that sums up this division, teams are super one week & rubbish the next. The Blackburn crowd are a disgrace. Their side was top, went behind and they were booing and jeering, a sure fire way to ensure 'your team' will drop their heads and lose any semblance of morale.
What manager would want to take on that job? You cant exactly see anyone queuing up for it, can you?
Bryan Robson, or possibly Paul Jewell if he gets the boot from Ipswich, someone of that ilk.
If your question was "what manager with a grain of dignity and self respect would want to take on that job?" then I'd totally agree with you - i.e. nobody.
There's plenty of dismal managers knocking around who'll take any job going though. Think I'll have a tenner on Dowie to get it.
seems to be doing a decent job now! Will be a tough game next week!
You need to look beyond the results though. A Rovers fan at work said they've been fortunate in 2/3 of their wins. Haven't been playing well at all. His view (which he insists is how the majority of their fans feel) is that Steve Kean is lucky to still have the job and isn't the man to get them back up. Let's not forget that they've spent over 11m on 2 strikers, and the likes of Gomes, Murphy and Kazim-Richards will all be on decent wages.
So the Blackburn board has let Kean spend £11 mill on 2 strikers - and despite being in an automatic promotion position averaging the required 2 points per game, are ready to sack him a few weeks later?
They were pretty hapless against Boro and were very lucky to beat Barnsley, if they had a proper manager in charge, they'd storm to promotion with their team. As vitriolic as the Blackburn fans are, you have to feel their frustration, imagine if Les Reed has been kept in charge for the rest of the season, then Charlton fans would have been the same. It's an awfully frustrating position for them to be in.
He will dance all the way to the bank when they sack him (3M) ..mind you he will be gutted not to get anymore Air india airmiles seems to fly there once a week.

I like Kean and think he is a good manager. The media have been on his back since day 1. I dispute that the club should have stayed up easily last year. I'm not sure about all his signings this year but expect them to win the Championship. Kind of sad how football is these days.
Seven minutes ago BBC reported Blackburn Rovers: Steve Kean to take charge on Saturday http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19714258 Hopefully we will meet a distracted Blackburn this weekend

Funny how Owen Coyle doesn't get the same crap.
Give me one good reason that suggests Kean is a good manager? What has he ever achieved in his managerial career? Nothing.
At least Owen Coyle promoted Burnley and managed to have Bolton looking decent for a season.

Easy for you to look beyond the results if you know a Blackburn fan, ive never even met one in my whole life!
See what you mean tho, just think those strikers (i mean Murphy, Kazim Richards and Gomez thats ike four men!) are good enough to bag a couple against us, we just need to score more!! We'll see!
Steve Kean will remain in charge of Blackburn Rovers for their Championship fixture away at Charlton on Saturday.
The 44-year-old faced fresh calls for his dismissal from a large section of home supporters during Friday's 2-1 defeat by Middlesbrough.
It is understood Kean was spared the sack by co-owner Anuradha Desai, but his position remains under review.
When asked if Kean would be in charge in the long term, global advisor Shebby Singh told BBC Sport: "No comment."
Reports on Monday suggested Kean was on the brink of exiting Ewood Park after Blackburn were beaten in the league for the first time this season.
Singh has admitted that the matter could have been handled better and said the situation at the club "gets worse by the day".
Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, he said speculation about Kean's future "built up so fast it was quite difficult to step in and react".
He added: "We have people heading up different departments whose responsibility it is to step in but unfortunately it escalated at such a fast pace that, before you know what happened, it hits you in the face.
"It should not have been allowed to escalate like that but it did and the situation gets worse by the day."
A crowd of 13,405 saw Friday's match, around 9,000 fewer than the average attendance they were attracting in the Premier League in 2011-12.
Many supporters have said they will not return until Kean is dismissed.
Singh continued: "Financially now it is not a good situation because the fans are staying away. The club needs revenue to survive.
"I guess with having played seven games now I think it is a situation which is not a very pleasant one and I suppose it is my bosses, the owners of the club [Venky's], who have to make an assessment."
Keans problem was when he was in charge last season he tried to play the 'right way' of football with the wrong club. This season i feel for him a bit, they are winning games because of the players they have, but he's not helped by the inteference from above, especially the purchase of 4 portugease players he hadnt even seen play himself. Id say he is a good coach but not a manager. Certaily the right time for us to play them.

LOL -reassuring

That right there is the single, poorest excuse for not sacking an underachieving manager if I have ever seen one. As if to say "It's so bad having him around, that we might as well just let him rot in his position".

Think we're playing them at a good time, whether he's gone by then or not.

Take that away and they fall back into their rightful place, championship/L1

What do you base this on? His record there is awful.
