You've paid your money, you've got to the gig, you've seen the support act and you're waiting with anticipation for the Band you've paid to see come on stage.
After all these years, this still sends chills down my spine and brings back soooooooo many memories.

Introduced by Brian Jones, This opening track introduces Hendrix to his homeland, and after playing one of Dylan songs, better than his bobness ends it off with Wild thing. Not sure the rock and roll world has ever recovered from this performance.... here's the start, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_742k-ExYwA&feature=related

Great, great singer Otis......
Was their last gig before the launch of their 1st album back in 2004. Talk had been growing quickly of them being huge. I'd been following them for a while and went to the Scala in Kings Cross with 3 mates and no tickets.
Face value was £8. Touts wanted £50! I approached the doorman and asked how much to let me and my 3 mate's in. He said £25 each. Done.
We got in and and I D was just starting. The rest of the gig was just insane but that first track just set up the night.
Awesome memories.
