I'll only spit directly onto someones back, never on the floor, disgusting.

I saw Diouf doing it when I was growing up and have no mind of my own

I've tried doing "snot rockets" in the past, but it ends up across me mouth and down me chin! Takes some skill that!

Have seriously been considering some kind of study into the phenomenon... liiiike, am sure most spitting is not physiological... there is a huge psychological dimension. I wonder How this differs between cultures

They have some disgusting spitting habits. Was out in Dubai & on Jumeriah Beach, out in the sea cooling down there's a few chinese lads mucking about.

One has made that hoiking gravelling sound when you bring the grolly up from your chest/throat, then turned round & spat it out so a big lump was floating on the sea. I said "you dirty c***" and swam off away from the floating nucleus of bogies as quick as I could.

Agree, there is a difference spitting on grass and spitting on a floor that requires cleaning. Somebody should have a word.

the amount of spit on the surface of the pitch must be a disaster for the grounds men.

It surprises me that so many players dive, thats the last thing i would want do, just in case you land face first in some dirty slimy chunky bit of flem.

Anyone who has been to Malaysia will have witnessed their fondness for firing gronnies everywhere, I didn't leave the airport and watched more phlegm get fobbed around than I don't know what. And there has been a case of some lethal respiratory disease bought round from Saudi. Lovely.
