  • How can Rick age 20 years and Michonne look exactly the same?

Also the young girl in it, must be Carl's kid. No way can it be his toddler daughter.

I parted company with Walking Dead after the pornographically violent execution of Glenn

This was always in the comics so they were never going to leave it out as it is a major story shift. The big issue is dragging things out. Negan should be dead already...

If they learn to speed up their story telling, then and only then will it become interesting again...

    I'll still watch it though.

Yes, I know. It wasn't really the Walking Dead in isolation. I've had a growing feeling over recent years that the graphic violence on TV that is served up as entertainment is just not right and that was a final straw sort of thing for me. Maybe I'm just getting old and can't keep up with the kids who love all that sadistic murdering stuff!

I was a bit confused with the flash forward's. I hope they don't go down this route as we would be getting in to 'Lost' territory and that was as confusing as hell.

My main gripe is how much they are moving the story on. Maggie told Glenn way back in season six that she was pregnant, yet last night, not the slightest sign of a baby bump. It turns out that the entire season seven took place in just 19 days!
  • As with GOT I just watch them for entertainment and take them as they are, why do people feel the need to analyse every episode?

Every series of every show has shit episodes and has story arcs that don't really go anywhere, if The Wire was being made now it would probably be dropped after the docks season, the same with Breaking Bad - I thought the first season was average at best, Boardwalk Empire had some dips too yet all are considered some of the best shows ever made.

That being said, there was ample opportunity for Rick to shoot Negan and Maggie has been pregnant for what seems like years!!
  • Must admit, be good to see some closure now. They make the big zombie scenes quite tense still, and Negan's aggression and supposed upper hand was a good way to put rick's group on the back foot (I always felt that rick and co have defeated enemies too quickly). I feel they will go round in circles again if they don't end it soon

The producers have already said they know what seasons 10 and 11 will look like.
I've cut it adrift and won't be watching this new series. It's been dreadful the last few series and would never been commissioned had the pilot been the last run.
  • The thing is that I believe that it is very popular and makes the production company a lot of money. We need to remember that Americans have very different tastes and (ahem) education to us so it might be that we, as a nation, prefer Corrie and Celebrity Jungle etc.
  • That was absolutely dreadful

I’ve got fuck all idea what’s going on anymore and spent the majority of that episode flicking through Tinder

  • Thought it was better than last week.

    Not great. Just better.

The Jesus bits were daft and didn't fit, and Aaron's fight was a massive waste of mostly missed bullets again, but I liked Morgan and Rick's bits. And Morales could be an interesting story.
  • Who was the bloke with rick at the end
  • Who was the bloke with rick at the end

Morales. He was in Series 1 for 3 or 4 episodes when Rick was first reunited with Lori and Carl, then left with his family when the rest of the group left to go to the CDC.

"Ladies, are you looking for cuddles? Well look no further, you've found him."
  • I hope they are building up to someone or something really interesting. I didn't understand what was going on there.
  • Pointless gunfire seems to sum up the first two episodes. It had a lot to live up to but the last series was decidedly average and this one is just heading further downhill. I hope it picks up but the hamminess of the scripts and some of the characters suggests that the whole thing has gone to shit.

Never known a show to literally drive off a cliff this steep.
  • Thoughts on last night? I thought it was a bit meh!
  • It has got a bit hectic and rushed. No build up just continuous action. Think I will watch next week's episode as a last chance and then probably give up.
  • Everyone complains no action - gets action and complains.

It went from one extreme to the other though. What about a happy medium? I thought this week was better than the first 2 episodes but still not exactly brilliant.
  • It’s nosediving massively. And it takes a lot for me to say that as I have always gotten a buzz from watching it.

    Ezekiel’s script is atrocious
  • I thought that was the best episode of the season so far. I enjoyed the parts where Darryl just killed both blokes who Rick was promising not to kill, with absolute no fucks given.

I thought it was obvious he was gunna save the baby but fitting he put it under the care of Aaron.

I got annoyed cos they're doing Morgans seasonly break down stuff again. And it's so obvious that keeping the saviours alive is going to bite them On the arse.

Also why is Gregory still alive ffs.
  • That was so much better tonight.
  • Still very a team like with the gun fire

And why didn’t the tiger put up much of a fight

And why didn’t the tiger put up much of a fight

Because the special effects budget was getting tight.
  • Kill the humans, kill all of the stupid decision making bastards but leave the tiger alone

I'm never going to stop watching, I've invested too much time and interest to do that but I'm feeling a bit let down.

  • That was awful.

Why not just shoot Negan while he is pissing about on the balcony bit?
Why waste hundreds of bullets on windows?
How comes the walkers could keep up with Daryl's bike?
Why stand and watch Gregory steal your car?
How would a thin bit of metal on your car stop bullets? Risky standing near the petrol tanks.

Why, for the love of God, did no one tell the writer that the 'shittin' pants' line was the worst bit of dialogue ever written.

It's so bad now. Such a shame.

Espically as Negan has a bat and the Preacher has a machine gun.
What kind of fucking name is Negan anyway? Do they mean Megan?
  • it was a shame about the tiger.

Annoyingly I already knew the tiger was going to die.

Some girl on tinder told me.

A random way to get a spoiler. She left a shit before logging off.

  • All you pretending to care about the tiger can't even remember her name, #RIPSheba
