Terrible performance . No desire , no inclination and no clue how to break down Barnsley . They were head and shoulders above us.
Starting with a 4-5-1 gives the opposition the message that we don't think our midfield is good enough .
26 thousand people turn up and the team doesn't Very very Dissapointed . Green was inept and Razak was a lazy bugger.

  • We played some lovely free flowing football at home at the start of last season with Paul Hayes up front. That now seems a distant dream. I don't know if CP's football philosophy has changed, but playing 451 at home seems very negative. Away from home it can be very effective as it was last week. We have to be more attack minded at home.

  • Hamer - 7 - Didn't have much to do but did everything ok.
Wilson - 3 - Dear oh dear. Caught inside so many times. Lost the ball so many times. Shocking.
Morrison - 7.5 - Class player as always. Shame to see armband taken away from him when JJ came on.
Cort - 7.5 - Again, his presence is makes such a difference. Shame he had and Morro were coering Wilson so much.
Solly - 7.5 - Poor guy. Feel sorry for him. Will hold no grudges when he leaves soon. He's so much better than this. Deserves a crack at the Prem. Must get frustrated putting in such a shift week in week out for no one else to follow suit.
    Green - 4.5 - Anonymous.
Stephens - 6 - In and out of the game. Wish that class that he has would ooze out of him.
Hollands - 5 - Quiet first half. Incredibly harsh to take him off at half time.
Razak - 7 - I like him a lot. Why he was taken off I do not know. I hope it was an injury as he looked very bright.
Kerkar - 6 - In and out. Quite clumsy but should glimpses. Wish he wouldn't come inside and cramp the middle.
Fuller - 6.5 - No service. What can he do? Has the class of the prem and we dont utilise it. Shame.
Jackson - 5 - Last 10 minutes he made a slight difference but too late by then. Not fit enough.
Wright Phillips - 5 - No service also. Should be scoring goals after 12 games. 1 goal, quite simply, is not good enough.

We have prem players in our squad. Players that would slot into a lower prem, high championship team that we are not using properly. Hulse sits on the bench and doesn't get a look in. Razak brought off at half time. Solly played out of position. Fuller not supplied. It really is not good enough.

Hamer 6 not at fault for the goal. Few good saves
Wilson 7 one of our better players
    Morrison 6
    Cort 6
    Solly 6
Green 5 at fault for the goal
Stephens 4 minis 1 for having a go at Hamer for the goal. He had no right to
    Hollands 5 not great
Razak 6.5 was one of our best players
Kerkar 5.5 he either lacks pace or isn't trying. Felt as if it was the latter today
Fuller 6 wasn't great. Then again, no his only hope went off at HT.
    Jackson 5.5
    Wright Phillips 5

    Was disappointed today.

Hamer 6 Not much to do, can't really be blamed for the goal
Wilson 7.5 MOTM for me, took on more players and more crosses than Green and Pritchard put together
    Morrison 6
Cort 6 point gained for aerial dominance again, lost a point for suspect defending on the floor
    Solly 6
Green 5 No real danger going forward, gave Wilson no help at all defensively
Stephens 6 Tried to get things moving, not particularly successfully though. Booking deserved.
Hollands 5 Slow and seemed to take a touch too many frequently, no surprise he came off at ht.
Razak 6 Seemed to at least get forward a bit, lost the ball as a result though.
Kerkar 6 A bit lightweight, incredibly one-footed but did attack and got no help whatsoever with ref's decisions
Fuller 6 Some nice touches, hassled defenders but never looked particularly dangerous
Jackson 6 Tried to get involved but the same old limitations were just as obvious
Wright Phillips 5 Didn't do much, but was left to try and do it all alone when Fuller went off

  • Hamer - 5.5 - Might have positioned himself better for the goal?
Wilson - 6.5 Good energy. Think he may end up playing in front of Solly when Wiggins returns.

Hamer 6 - Can't fault his passion. Didn't have a great deal to do.
Wilson 7 - I am not a Wilson fan, but he looked good today. Still doesn't tackle though.
    Morrison - 6.5 Did ok
Cort - 6 Not his best game, but our defence were ok.
Solly 6.5 - I thought he was unfairly treated by the ref on a few occasions.
Green 5 - Looked disinterested in the second half.
Stephens 6 - Battled but looked exposed when we went to 4-4-2
    Hollands 4 - Awful game
Razak 7 - I thought he was our best player in the first half (except that awful shot early on). Why did he come off?
Kerkar 5 - Sorry he looked bad today. Got disposessed a lot
Fuller 6.5 - Battled hard but
Jackson 4 - When i saw him coming on i thought he would organise the midfield. Might as well have not come on.
Wright Phillips 5 - Wasn't used in my opinion.

Over all only the defence really came out with any credibility. The midfield was again non existent at home. No idea why we seem to perform better away.

Hamer - 6 disagree that he was not at fault for the goal as he neither closed the player down nor kept tighter to the post.
Wilson - 6 attacked well and only real outlet with his pace in last 20 mins but defending still looks dodgy . One cross from a promising byline position in second half very disappointing as we had men over at far post.
Cort - 6 looked like an accident waiting to happen on the floor in first half but improved in second.lost a lot of headers uncharateristically but up against a very good and mobile centre forward in Davis.
Morro- 6 did well covering in particular for Wilson but should have smashed the ball and striker all over the place on the 35th minute rather than playing 'after you".
Solly-7 good effort and enthusiasm unlucky with penalty.

To be resumed as I need to collect a takeaway
