    If you play five midfielders then Stephens needs to be one of them IMO as he has the quality to pick and play and defence-splitting pass and should also, in theory, be able to get forward and shoot himself

    in a four then he's been shown thus far not to be able to stamp his authority on the game at this level

    You can say run over in midfield if we play 4-4-2 bla blah, but it's more of a fact that whatever formation we play, we just need to work our socks off as it is going to be a really tough game.

    It is a big tough decision for Powell though I agree.
