  • exactly right the last few posts - this game means more to 90% of both sets of fans than any other. we all live in the same part of london and we all have mates who are half charlton / half millwall. Yes, there are millwall fans who like to make out west ham means more but thats for those who are still living in some sort of hooly world. We all know the truth and next week is pay back time - again.
  • Lol long wait
  • Few beers in Charlton early doors then make a move up to London Bridge way
  • Going to the Cafe on Plough Way about 11:30 then heading to the Spoons round the corner then getting a bus to the ground, sorted

Stay away from any trouble Nathan. If you get hurt the medics may rush you to the nearest A&E which happens to be Lewisham.
  • Millwall wont spank knobs like Nathan

London bridge will be full of charlton and can't see how getting a train there will be a prob . Do people drink in charlton till 2. 15 when we play palace away ? Fuck me man up

The train may be a problem cos SB is shut that day hence beers in charlton. Also you wouldn't meet in charlton for palace cos it's not 3 miles down the road like millwall. Should be an interesting stroll back to new cross after though!!
  • We will be kept behind for 30 minutes and escorted to Surrey Quays, just like Leeds were the other week.

  • Dog and Bell is a very decent pub in Deptford...20-25 min walk to the ground from there.
  • Starting off in local spoons then moving up to london bridge area. Will play it by ear, if train or taxi it.
Any idea how much taxi from london bridge to the dark reaches of south london is ?
  • London bridge for me to... then to surrey quays and walk.
  • Can anyone recommend a pub up there with sky sports, wanna watch the early kick off.
  • Seriously, LB to The Den is gonna be about a tenner in a cab - shared between 3 or 4 of you. The time you will save getting a cab is enough for an extra pint. No brainer.
  • Pubs which are showing the West Ham Chelsea game anyone? Around the London Bridge area?!?

  • Can't believe all this guff - been going football for 30 years, never had a problem - if you don't want bother, you won't get it - unless you are very stupid. If you want 100% reassurance, wear an afro and carry a lidl bag and you'll just blend in with the locals

    Lol
  • first Charlton / Millwall game i've missed in my lifetime (I'm 38) and can honestly say I'm not bothered, really hope we win - but I won't miss going to that dump and being kept in for ages after, regardless of the score.

As it happens I have other things to do on Saturday with my daughter.

Buses are for women and kids - so you qualify on both counts.
  • Same here Eltham, like you i've never missed this fixture and got something on with my kids this Saturday. A month ago i wasn't bothered at all, but the closer it gets the more gutting I am getting.

That night in the snow is still one of my favourite ever games, and if we won on Saturday and I was there, it would be more than worth the disappointment of a couple of years ago. The thought of us winning and not being there will drive me mad.

My phone is in for some severe refreshing on Saturday afternoon.
  • Don't worry you'll definitely be getting some texts.

  • You've changed!

Same. One of my best mates is getting married on Saturday. If we win he will be getting it in the neck for years. He'll be sleeping soundly then...
