With all due respect, I don't believe Garry Birtles views on anything are worth a read. The man is a walking cliche who is totally devoid of any ability to make a considered thoughtful comment without finding out what his mates think first. The lines you've quoted are true enough, but frankly, are as obvious an observation as could be made. My four year old daughter could've come up with that.
