I'm distraught. He is an idol of mine and a true guitar legend. Saw him loads over the years. Just hope he doesn't suffer and enjoys the time he has left.

I second that. Absolute hero of mine, I just hope he get's to play some farewell gigs here before he moves on to play machine gun guitar in the next life.
Sad News but the best of luck Wilko. Dr Feelgood Mk 1 - Undoubtedly the finest R&B Band this country ever produced. Solid Senders & solo stuff is great too! - Check out 'Down by the Jetty', 'Malpractice' & 'Sneakin' Suspicion' if you haven't already.
@stigAccording to the Evening Echo (Southend) tonight, he's refusing chemo. Very sad.
My earlier post was far too flippant. Pancreatic cancer is a real hard one, the cancer that killed (amongst many others) Steve Jobs. I have been through chemotherapy and it is a bastard. My cancer was/is curable, though modern thought is that cancer is never 'cured', merely managed like diabetes or even HIV. I am not surprised that Wilko has refused chemo. What is the point in feeling absolutely awful for the remaining weeks and months of your life. Johnson is only 65, still a young man in today's terms. Very sad.
Seen Wilko support the Stranglers a lot....absolute legend. He was one of the reasons for me starting guitar lessons. His enthusiasm and skill when playing was unique something i'd never seen a guitarist do. Gutted.
My band supported Wilco a few times back in the late 80's. We had a few beers post gigs, he was 'lively' to say the least. Top player and one of a kind. His live version of 'Wooly Bully' has stayed with me all these years later. Brilliant. Thoughts are with him and his family.

Agree with JJDD about Oil City Confidential. Super film.
Good luck Wilko.
