Thing is your account number gets given too you, you don't choose it.
So the chances of me knowing or tracking the person who has one digit different account to me to pull of a scam is pretty slim, wouldn't you say?
I reckon it could be a legitimate mistake but they were earning a lot more over the two years as cash in hand or another undeclared income.
