Still think De Gea is guff. Shotstopper, and nothing more. There is so much more to goalkeeping, and he falls way short on crosses and command of area.

That said, he kept them in the game today. Watch him make a howler next weekend.

I was impressed with Welbeck, of all people. One goal this season before the match, wasn't expecting much. Played the Milner role very well today, tireless endeavour.

    Rafael is still shit.

In summary, not sure who I want to progress. Don't like much about either club.
  • Agreed re Raphael. I think Solly would have dealt with their left wing threat a lot better.
  • Real's number 7 looks half decent.

Aka the Portuguese Gareth Bale ;)

De Gea is a decent keeper. Getting better every game.
Rafael is a decent RB. Getting better every game

    De Gea yes, Rafael no
  • I thought Rafael was poor last night, particularly in the first half. He contributed to a number of chances for Real. De Gea, to be fair, had an excellent game, particularly the shot he tipped on to the post early on.
  • Actually sounded like a decent game where football was the main talking point rather than anything negative.

Can see Man U just doing enough to get through by a goal maybe.
  • I thought Jones had an excellent game keeping the Madrid attackers relatively quiet.

    Me too.

Future England captain I reckon. Which'll annoy Gretna Green Addick.
