Wiggins back in, Haynes to start. Other than that I can't see how to change it.0

narrow defeat away to second placed team in the league - booooooooo, powell out0

The tea lady was definitely at fault today.0

Well there's always our home games...0

Livelier in the final quarter but too little too late as usual. Pissed off and getting worried now.0

This. Game over as soon as Hamer flapped away. Surely time for Button in goal. Our fans need to take off the rose tinted glasses and see constant tinkering does not work.Ross said:Wiggins back in, Haynes to start. Other than that I can't see how to change it.

Not saying it is right or wrong - but I can see our board getting nervous and pulling the trigger on CP if we dont win either of our next two. Once again I am not saying either way what my view is, but that is a gut feel.
God, just realised I am terrified of ever saying a word against CP in case I get abused.
Hence the over the top arse covering post. Sorry about that.0 -
Another tough game and it sounded like there wasn't much between the teams just the other sides seem to be much more clinical in front of goal and we're not
Think we'll have to scrap and fight for another 12/15 points till the end of the season then hope we have enough money to strengthen in the summer.
Personally would like to see Wiggins and Haynes back in the side from the start they have pace which frightens defenders0 -
May and safety seems a long way away.
In CP we trust.0 -
Having thought this through over the last few days and looking at our fixtures, I think we're going down. 50 points minimum seems miles off. Expecting a pasting at Leicester0

As crookester said in the opening posts, narrow defeat away from home against a team in 2nd place and with a reputation for grinding out results. We had a couple of chances but just couldn't take them.
lol, sorry to be harsh but it's hard to miss this contradiction.bolloxbolder said:

We'll stay up.
It has not been an exciting season to say the least. But..... it's all about consolidation, right?0 -
Where are the points coming from?0

Powell made no substitutions, played very defensive, and we sat back to defend the 1-0 once Hull went aheadcrookester said:narrow defeat away to second placed team in the league - booooooooo, powell out

My main worry Damo, mid table or just surviving does me especially with all the shenanigans going on off of the pitch. I want SCP to survive but think he is on borrowed time...DamoNorthStand said:Not saying it is right or wrong - but I can see our board getting nervous and pulling the trigger on CP if we dont win either of our next two. Said after Birmingham and I'll say it again. If we don't win one of the next two imo TJ will pull the trigger. Not saying its right.
As for today, first half sounded shocking. Second half a little better, but a continued theme of poor finishing.
If aren't careful we'll get spanked at Leicester. The Forest game then becomes massive for Powell.0 -
Constant tinkering but the first thing you would do is change the goalie???
Is that a joke!?0 -
Changing our first team goalkeeper for an untried backup doesn't count as tinkering then? ;0)bolloxbolder said:

I really do agree. You know what, if we go down, it isnt the end of the world. It is just football. After going through a number of personal bereavements this year, it kind of puts it in perspective.Kermy said:Having thought this through over the last few days and looking at our fixtures, I think we're going down. 50 points minimum seems miles off. I know I have a habit of being negative, but it is just an honest opinion. I think we are going down. If we stay up, then I will be celebrating like all of us. But if we drop, we drop. Life goes on.0 -

Hull away, Leicster away, Nigels away - not games i would expect us to pick any points up from - its the terrible home form that is possibly going to cost us. The 2 dropped last week could have massive implications by the end of the season.0

I don't know how the Board could blame Powell though. They've not exactly splashed the cash this season have they. This is the same team as last year with 1 addition in Fuller.0
-
Every time this season when we've started looking nerviously at relegation we've pulled a couple of results together. I expect the same again tbh we're not getting thrashed every week, lack of finishing has cost us in the past 4 games.0

Where did our last 40 points come from? Jesus, we've got 14 games to get 10 points.Kermy said:Where are the points coming from?

I'm deffo not in the suicide squad Oggy, just wondering where our next win is going to come from - we need to start putting points on the board again. Dont blame CP at all, this is a L1 team after all - survival is what it is all about at the moment.Oggy Red said:Lose 1-0 and thread gets taken over by suicide squad SHOCK

As long as it is not blind faith.ValleyGary said:May and safety seems a long way away.
In CP we trust.
But lets forget we did not expect to get anything to day, realistically, and we only went down to a goalkeeping error.
Tuesday is unlikely to bring any cheer, so we need three points on Saturday.
The board need to weigh up spend now and salvation or potential relegation and get in a couple of loans and CP needs to know how to play loan players, which we have failed to do effectively so far this season.
Keep the faith, stroke a rabbits foot, buy a findus ready meal and extract a horse shoe ... its going to be a rough ride

Anyone explain why Waggy was dropped? No width, big high ball up field and fight for the scraps? Sorry! But this is not the work of a tactical genius is it! Gonna have to find some luck or form from somewherene,it's not coming from the coaching staff.0
