Bournemouth are owned by a Russian oligarch. I think they would be alright.paulie8290 said:
I hope Bournemouth go up mainly because otherwise I can see the club folding with the amount the have spent, and as a football fan I would hate that to happen to a club(Well maybe I would not be so bothered if it happened to our South London/Croydon neighbors)cantersaddick said:I hope Bournemouth go up! Would be nice to see how Yann, Francis and Harry Arter get on in the premier league!

I agree .. at this time of year there are only a few decent strikers available to loan .. Jones has pace like Wilson and like Kermorgant he is good in the air, he is no Yann the Man though .. all in all, Jones is a good compromise, BUT he is forever flattering to deceive .. I can't see him getting much game time @ the CherriesDavo55 said:
Kind of agree, but I see Pitman as a similar type of player to Wilson, whereas K-J is more similar to Yann. I'd still put Yann ahead of K-J but he's serious competition.Lincsaddick said:
ther's no way that Jones is going to replace either Pitman or Kermorgant who are both having almost unbelievably good seasons .. he's been signed as insurance against injury .. Wilson is injured a t m .. one more injury to a striker could seriously harm Bournemouth's promotion run inDavo55 said:I see that Bournemouth have brought in Kenwyne-Jones on loan from Cardiff. They already have Wilson and Pitman as well as Yann. Just a 4th choice/back-up signing or is Yann's place under threat?

Doubt Yann would come back with the current ownership after the falling out.Callumcafc said:Bournemouth get promoted. Yann comes back on loan in November and the move is made permanent in January.
Thoughts?
In all honesty though, whilst I'd like to see him play again for us there are other options out there (eg Cifty or whatever he's called) that are younger and have resale value.0 -

Wow great kick against Brighton on the TV cameras...
I miss you Yann. :-(2 -
Great free kick.2

I knew he would score it, he always does from that kind of range. Absolutely fantastic free kick. If fate is kind, he will end up here again, play a few more seasons, then come back as manager a few years later and win us the Premier League title
Picking up the photo of him I bid for from the post office tomorrow! Pride of place on my wall.
Edit: My girlfriend wants to point out she is the one collecting it, I can't be bothered.5 -
What a player.0

And a great chipped ball over the top for Wilson to make it 0-2...0

Just loves a free-kick against Brighton0
-
Yeah, we've got no-one at the club who can take a free kick...
All of those by JBG were mirages, I tell you!0 -
I know they play more football on the desk than CAFC did in the years that Yann was here but he doesn't seem to have missed many games through injure.
But the difference is they have 5 strikers so he can sit out a few games, or be an impact sub.

He's Charlton and he knows he is.14

Seriously happy for Yann, might even start watching MOTD again3

Love to see him score in the prem4

Great reception for him when he was subbed off, which he acknowledged. Some of his touches and link ups today were sublime2

He went into the West Lower at full time as well.2

The original french monster. Roland you are a prick, you should have given that guy the extra dough, he is so bloody good and he loves this club. You sign pp, reza, Tucudean for whatever amounts but wouldn't give the fantastic french man who would put his body on the line for this club a few extra quid. Mug49

Said to @TelMc32 , just think of the crosses that Fox has been putting into the box recently and having Yann on the end of them.4

I categorically told Meire at last year's VIP meeting letting him go was a disastrous error. Today's performance proved, if it needed it, that she cocked up big time.7

Class act. One of my all time favourites... Money well spent by Bournemouth....4
-
He deserves to be a premier league player after everything he's gone through as a person and for the class act he is on the pitch. Chuffed for him.7

Flogging Yann was the first bold statement of intent by RD.
Hoping for better judgement in transfer dealings this summer4 -
Playing devil's advocate for a moment - if Yann doesn't make the step up to the Prem, would it be a surprise if he turns up at Huddersfield?kentaddick said:He deserves to be a premier league player after everything he's gone through as a person and for the class act he is on the pitch. Reception for him and his reaction were great. I was struck by how much Bournemouth play to his feet rather than his head. Great player.6
