  • Linesman on the near side = obstructed view.

Linesman on opposite side = front on view.

I mean really, do people think he thought "we'll I'm on the other side of the pitch, I didn't see anything, but I reckon I'll get someone a red card today for kicks... (Or 'kick', as it was)"?

Can't fault him for seeing something and making a call, and a big one at that - bloody wish they'd do that more tbh.

how dare you bring logic into this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thought Halford was a scumbag today. Retaliated against Yann and got nothing. The ref was very one sided. Forest deserved their win but I hope Halfrod stubs his toe really badly in training.

I sit in the NU but the fans in the East next to where it happened didnt seem too upset at the ref card so that may be an indicator.

I sit in the east stand and believe me were given the ref and halford stacks of abuse, i saw the whole incident it was nothing...Halford totally over reacted as did the forest players to nothing. They are a gisgrace.

Yann just booted Halford in frustration (worthy of a red) and Halford reacted like anyone would , fairplay to the lino for spotting
Absolute blinkered shit on here from some genuinely scares me.....are we really from the same planet

  • Kermo was daft. Thought Halford had a good game and don't understand why he always got stick when he was with us.
He is a decent Championship standard player and wouldn't be playing in that Forest team if not.
  • I was in the West Upper so further away than the linesman but directly opposite it - Kermo clearly kicked out at Halford - had to be a red.
  • players making a fuss definetley helps players to get red cards.ref was doing nothing of his own back.
  • Should have been red carded at the end rather than being booked - stopped a clear goal scoring opportunity by Haynes

  • Kermo rightly or wrongly sent off, I've lost all my respect for Greg Halford for way he re acted.
  • I had no respect for Halford anyway - great clodhopping lump

Well apparently he made a money sign by rubbing his fingers together at the West stand whilst getting stick when he played for us.
  • hes a **** always hated him ....

Yep, the game definitely needs more sending's off. Nobody want's to see of game of 11 v 11 to establish who is actually the better team in the absence of a major handicap.

That was after he played for us when he was at Sheffield United , he did it to me in the FA cup match. That's quite alright apparently because I dug him out about his long throws.

Disagreement in the southern hemisphere...have to side with NZ here though.

Why should players get away with blatant disregard for the laws of the game? Why should kicking out at a fellow pro not be a red? I hope Powell read Yann the riot act as well and he realises how much he let his teammates (and us) down, for a moment of petulance. I doubt he'll learn, much as I love most of his game, there is a side which is not so good to watch, including this and feigning injury too many times.

Halford should have had a yellow for the reaction and not impressed with his teammates either. Billy Davies has obviously stamped his loathsome personality on them already.
  • I'm sure if Halford had petulantly kicked Kermo the Frenchman would have not reacted at all
I mean some of our fans genuinely live in cuckoo land
  • Yep.Yann retaliated to yet another shove in the back.He d been properly floored not long before near centre circle and been niggled a few times. I know he should not have lashed out but he d had enough of it. He retaliated , so did Halford and that went unpunished. HAlford should have had at least 2yellows I/o one. The charge of the light brigade should also have resulted in some form of punishment. Plain wrong. Ref n Lino blind to that issue. I wasn't.Nor was my young Son.

  • Having watched it on TV, it was a red. Halford should have got a yellow for his reaction, plus a few others for going after Yann.

I'm not sure I agree. It's human instinct to react when someone kicks you. Halfords didn't punch or kick Yann. I think the ref got it right.

  • Shouldn't Halford have been sent off at their place this season? Always despised Halford. We lost our brilliantly skilled playmaker and captain and had him replaced with that freakish ogre of a thing. I was always genuinely shocked he could take more than three steps without collapsing into a puddle of splintery bones and failed science. The fact he got Yann sent off just adds to the horror
  • Big Yann shouldn't have done what he did but Halford and his team mates did act unprofessionally!

Let's be honest if you had a chance to get an oposing player sent off you would do anything it takes !
You do it for the Team
  • I noticed he didn't seem to be taking any of those long throws. In all honesty that was the only reason I would have him in the team when he played for us!

Yann is an old pro when it comes to irritating and niggling away at other players to draw a reaction from them, it's as much part of his game as what he actually does with the ball. For example he got an MK Dons player so riled up the silly sod took a swing at Yann and got sent off last season I believe. He really should have known better than to fall for it himself.

Yes, I was surprised to see him at CB, I'd never seen him as a 'defensive' defender but he coped well yesterday, although he wasn't exactly tested...
  • Halford was awful for us and have never taken to him.Even less now.
