  • Stephens could have played till midnight and still wouldn't have changed the game.

I think the security guards might have chucked him out first.

Stephens deserved to be subbed, was a liability. Dervite's passing was just about as bad but did his job of heading, blocking etc which is what he's there for. Maybe they both should've been taken off at half time.
  • dd was shite no one can defend thAt performance.

If you watched that game and think Devrite deserves more stick than Stephens then you're mad

Their midfield embarrassed ours, none of ours looked good in comparison
  • When I saw the team at 2 30 pm I said to my dad we might as well go home.shocking team selection so negative.it might work away from home but the manager should not keep the same team just because you won the last game....horses for courses as the saying goes.dervite was unbelievably bad.....mind you a blame the manager more for picking him.once again powell has cost us more points today i'm afraid and I am finding it increasingly difficult to defend him after each poor home performance.

i was amazed with the line up it was as if powell just wanted to stop forest rather than go for 3 points.really hope next week and the millwall game we have a right old go.Powells got it spot on away from home but at home needs to change his mindset
  • Was all ways gonna lose with that line up, cp just got away with it easier as we had a man sent off!

Would we really have beaten Forest playing 442? Weren't they just better than us?

    Yep, this.
  • i would rather see us play 4-4-2 at home and have a go rather than set up negetive and allow the away side to get on the front foot. we have not got one decent midfielder who could put their mark on the game and drive us on.

Good in the air, poor on the floor.

And he plays in central midfield so ideally qualified or this Charlton team.

awful a player in the champs league who can not pass a ball 6 feet to his own side

years back i called les berry banana boots as a pass always went side ways to where he wanted to pass it

Devitt can f++k of back to where he cane from NOT GOOD ENOUGH for a pro football player end off----just f++k off.

Is Dervite french for "Hot Potato"?

He can't trap a bag of cement, but at least he won the ball a couple of times. Stephens didn't complete a pass until the 35th minute and was out-muscled in every 50-50.

I'd like to see him play away though, where the 451 works better

On the floor he is absolutely dreadful, you shouldn't be getting in the team because you can head it, especially when he plays in midfield.

practically everyone was crap today, Dervite was the worst though in my opinion.

Seriously, I can never decide if Dervite is a good player who does stupid things, or a crap player who has the odd good moment. And after today I'm none the wiser although thats being generous.

Pretty much how I feel. I'm inclined towards the latter today but then it wasn't the finest hour of any player in our colours really. He can do a job I guess but if Andy Hughes ever gets fit again, I would put him in over Dervite any day.
  • Easy to put the blame on a single or 2 players, his performance was at the level of the team... not better, not worse. If he was that bad, why CP didnt replace him?
The organisation has been disturbed by playing at 10 against a Ntgm team in full confidence and with better technique .The one to blame is rather Kermo who destabilized the team. No reason why a team can work well away and fails at home, except if you remove one key player who was at full steam. defending schemes can work well at home , even if fans dislike....
sure he was not at his best but who else was?

I know where you're coming from and feel that about most of our players this season (a little harsh) I think some have outperformed their natural ability and will struggle to keep performances as good as required

Think he is neat and tidy, can do the odd good thing but is not the player you want in the middle when you are looking to chase a game.
