I still can't understand why Green is not getting a chance especially at home, it's not like anybody else is playing so well to keep him out of the team/ bench.
I think people often mistake not having the skills with not caring or putting in a shift. I would care and put in a shift, but after about 5 minutes it would probably look like I was lazy and lethargic with the ball at my feet and just wanted to get rid of it. Not because I didn't care, but because I was no where near good enough.
Was asked all the usual questions about getting into football and his early rejection from Charlton. The interesting part was the standard questionaire-type session as used on Soccer am. Questions included worst trainer, best and worst dancer, least intelligent, longest-in-the-shower, etc. I will hold fire on the answers he gave and see if I can get a link to the interview as my brother-in-law was asking the questions.
I assume she ran at the old Sportcentre which was in Hammarskjold Road (you were close Henry!) but this and the adjoining ski slope have been redeveloped and is now a housing estate. The replacement Harlow Stadium is on the outskirts of the town.
Refreshing to see someone who wants to be at the club and is willing to work hard to stay there.. Hopefully we can see the best of Green this year as I think we are a better team with him in it..
No-one wants to see devastating wing-play more than I do, but I have to say Greenie has been a disappointment after impressive stats at Dagenham & Redbridge: 15 goals in his last season there. He's got a good shot on him and is capable of worrying defenders, but I haven't seen him skin the full-back and then deliver an accurate cross. I like Greenie and want him to do well for us - but are we going to play with two out-an-out wingers, and if not, does Harriott get the nod?
Big season for him. He's well liked. He was dropped after that defensive cock up at home (maybe Sheff W) but can be a good sub to have as wants to get involved straight away.
I think Green has the potential to make us a much better side. Technically, there is a lot about him that impresses me more than Pritchard whose hard work attempts to cover up a lack of ability in some areas imo (and regardless, I would rather him in the middle than on the right). If Green is fitter and can work on his defensive side by getting up and down the wing - I think we would be stronger with him and Callum helping feed Kermorgant and a player to be named later.
I think we need him in the team, yes Pritchard works hard but with yanns ability in the air no one else in the teams has a better cross than greenie for him to feed off, we missed an attacking threat down the right other teams left backs have an easy time most matches and are able to press forward.
MK Dons away last year. He came on as a sub, flicked the ball behind him past the left back, sprinted and put the most perfect peach of a cross in for Kermorgant to score. He needs to do that more often. Too often in a game he goes missing, but that one bit of skill is often the difference between between only getting 1 point or getting 3 points.
Pritchard's work rate is phenomenal, and Solly overlapping gives us width and delivery on the right hand side, but Pritchard himself lacks that delivery side to his game. With Harriott on the opposite side we have good balance, but we can't focus every attack down the left. As mentioned above with Kermorgant as our focal point up front we need the delivery of Green to exploit this.
The only way I could see fitting Pritchard and Green into the team together is a 4-5-1 with Pritchard playing centrally with Jackson behind Kermorgant. However we all know what happens when you play 4-5-1.....

Very good shot on him and fantastic crosser of a ball, just lacks a bit of pace and a little skill to beat a player. Reckon he can definately do a decent job for us though next year and hope he stays, works hard and gets back in the team. On form we have a half decent midfield at this level but could probably still do with a bit of a nasty, lump of a player who gets stuck in and can drive it all through the middle
I think green is good cover. Offers good delivery and i think he can make an impact coming off the bench if willing to play that role. Far too inconsistent to be a certain starter.
If we don't get anyone else in as a striker, playing Jackson behind Kermorgant is going to be a regular option. Our joint top scorers last season, no? I like Green but he really needs to turn up a bit more often to be a regular.

I have not been to Harlow Town for years. Things are a bit of a struggle for them at the moment after high hopes a few years back.
Lots of talk of Orient moving there.
Didn't realise they had moved
This is the link to the Hawks Radio Podcast with Danny Green last Monday. Some interesting comments on here. Listen and get a player's view from the inside.
Worth a listen - Greenie's quite funny at times.
Find out who he thinks is the least intelligent payer at Charlton!
