Not sure a proven Championship striker is the priority.
Have a look at Burnley if you want proof.

The way things are at Charlton just now, we could put RVP up front and all the chances would fall to poor old Pritch!:-)
  • put Pritch upfront, now thats a great idea ... the lad will fire us to promotion

Go back for a cut price Baldock from relegated Bristol. His wages will be covered by departing Fuller. He will score 30 goals next season. Then again he was cack at their ground last Nov.

Also Murray at Palace only scored 6 league goals last season but this season....maybe a fit Haynes could do the same....

So a proven goalscorer and a wonderfully creative midfielder, anything else ? How about a rock of a centre back or a goalkeeper with cat l-like reflexes ?

A pot load of money would not go amiss

Shows you how much impact he's had this season - forgotten all about him.
Fully in favour of raiding relegated clubs or clubs who got close to promotion but didnt make it - thought we were going to get Quinn from SHeff U end of last season, and he's playing really well at Hull.

FM > Add new manager > Man City > Largest budget > Bid for an U18 who won't make it > Retire from Man City > Buy who the hell you want for CAFC... Simple

His stats are very impressive - is he being tracked by a lot of teams ? He's played 95 games in 5 years, seems slightly less than you'd expect, has he had any major injuries ?

Not that I know of... He is thought of very highly in South Africa but the fact that no one from Europe has signed him makes you wonder. Can go missing in games and then suddenly pop up with a goal out of nothing

Gotta be worth a shout on a free tho?

Palace always seem to have a decent goalscorer..... Wright, Bright, Freedman, Armstrong, Morrison, Johnson, Murray... even Ambrose got shedloads for them.

A killer striker would be helpful, but players to give proper service are needed. That would be a decent right wing / right midfield, left wing / left midfield and a creative / midfield. We have had plenty of decent strikers but with no service they have struggled.

Charlton are 4 players off a top 6 finish.

But we can't field 15 players at home.

Micheal Smith - 27 goals in the championship next season. Nailed on. FACT. Sell him to Spurs for £6.5m and the rest is history. Right, time to get off Football Manager and back to work...

Tell me about it , finished 7th stuffed Palace 3-0 got them relegated on the last day of the season , just signed Craig Mckail Smith and Glenn (Who?) Murray...... on free transfers.

  • Maybe we should be looking 'outside the box' in 1) Abroad 2) Players not getting in other teams - like Vardy at Leicester

    Look outside the Box....
We've been doing that all season!

Unfortunately. I think that the other team may notice.

The way we play? I doubt it.
