Don't laugh, but I've been to quite a few Polo matches. Great day out. Also great value for money if you happen to live near a club.
For example for non-playing membership The Guards Polo Club has a £150 joining fee and thereafter a £335 annual subscription. (Best not to ask about fees for playing though.)
For that you get at least one match every day (apart from most mondays) from mid-April through to mid-September - over 400 fixtures! (Extra for the few prestige matches but that's still little more than about a £1 a game though). Use of the club bar and restaurant, guest passes, car parking facilities, and more posh totty than you can shake a stick at. (But you do have to remember that Ma'am rhymes with Spam.)

Ive been to a few days at polo. Always a really good day out, if you can put up with some of the idiots that also go.

    Football
    Cricket
    F1

then various other sports that I watch, but not religiously

    Tennis
    Rugby Union (internationals)
    Athletics
    Snooker
Misc Olympic sports (the events you watch every 4 years then forget about)
Golf (the final round of Majors)
  • Sports I like enough to attend live : Football, cricket, athletics

Sports I watch on TV : Above 3, some golf ( esp Ryder Cup), tennis, international rugby union, some F1,swimming, cycling

Sports I hate ( for various reasons) : Horse racing ( esp Grand National ), snooker, darts, NFL, boxing ( except when Dartford's finest, Dave Charnley was involved!) , greyhound racing.

TBH I've always pitied people who don't enjoy some form of sport - think they are missing out on SO much IMHO!

I like most sports to a point except anything to do with horses unless I've had a flutter!

Cricket, Rugby Union and Athletics are my favourites along with football but I'll also watch tennis, golf and rugby league plus other sports with a British interest such as cycling or hockey at the Olympics.

Excuse my ignorance but what does retro boxing mean?

    15 rounds
    Maroon gloves
Harry Gibb reffing and Harry Carpenter commentating on Sportsnight, BBC1 on Wednesdays.

I meant I used to like boxing but it doesn't grab my attention like it used to.

Is Dogging a sport or pastime?

Apart from football, given free choice (i.e. not living with the wife) I would watch a lot more sport, specifically:

Motorsport in all it's forms (been going to Le Mans since 1999).
Snooker (certainly intend to watch more of this if/when I retire).
    Cricket (maybe...).
    Tennis (especially womens!).

I'm not really interested in horse racing or any other sport that is primarily only run for betting.
