  • Bunch of Wallys !
  • I mean what sort of a joke club would end up doing something like that .... Ahem
  • I'm going to destroy the plumbing at their ground next week just for this !
  • Barnsley have come right into form, Palace have dropped 'the baton'
  • Didn't we have to wear West Brom's shorts when we played them at The Hawthorns a few seasons ago?
  • I mean what sort of a joke club would end up doing something like that .... Ahem

In 80/81 we wore Sheffield Wednesday kits at Bramell Lane against Sheffield United.

    Ha! Old skool!
  • Indeed, you imagine the fuss now if that happened again?
  • Did anyone understand Holloway's explanation ? Sounded like he contradicted himself ?

I believe what he was saying is he was okay for Barnsley to wear there away kit but the ref wouldn't allow it, however he insisted that Palace would be wearing their home kit.

  • At least there's no chance of players 'badge kissing' if they're wearing another team's kit...

We played Man City (Doyle, Summerbee, Bell & co) at home in the 65/66 season and they had to wear some of our away kit (navy blue) because the ref wasn't happy with a kit clash. Anyone remember this?

    Yeah, see OohAah's post above
  • You would have thought that the Barnsley kit man would have checked this sort of thing before they traveled down. Amateurs.
  • Home kit red, away kit black and blue stripes, should have got their away kit from last year which was white.

West Brom game was on tv wasn't it? Izale McLeod might have actually scored that day as well
  • Remember wearing a horrible Oldham away kit back in about 96 season when we drew up there 1.1. Think it was green and black hoops or blue and black. Either way it was one of the worst kits I have ever seen!
  • It must have been strange for the Palace kitman as well, printing the names and numbers of the Barnsley players on the back of their away kit!
  • Bet the sponsors weren't happy.

  • Embarrassing
  • What about if it happened at our place, would you be happy for us to wear our away kit and for the away team to wear their home? Personally I wouldn't mind.
  • Just put it down to palarse having a shit home shirt.

I can't see many home teams wearing their change strip at home.
  • Cardiff have been doing it all season.

It's not as if this never happened before. Get a grip.
  • Holloway showed himself to be a petty dick. Could have easily just worn their away kit.

    Doesn't bother me either way.

I support him 100% but I'll be honest and say I haven't warmed to him.

Think he done that a while ago
