  • Doesn't somebody at Barnsley go through the list of opponents and work out that they need a third kit! Very unprofessional.

Disgraceful incompetence by their commercial department, clubs are always coming up with pointless 3rd kits to get the fans to buy another kit. Here they had a genuine need for a 3rd kit, and had no kit of their own to wear and sell in the club shop!
  • What you do, is do a one off black and white hooped effort say. Off the peg so just put sponsor and badge on. Then you tell fans it is a one off and not for sale - some say they want it and you then sell a few as a limited edition - due to popular demand. Simples!

They could have used last season's away kit, a nice striped white shirt with the same sponsor!

What about if it happened at our place, would you be happy for us to wear our away kit and for the away team to wear their home? Personally I wouldn't mind.

I can't see many home teams wearing their change strip at home.
Didn't we do this in the last game of the season a few (maybe close to 20) years ago. We had just released it for sale and wore it at The Valley. Against Middlesborough, if I remember correctly?

I blame Palace for having that bloody awful stiped nonsense. Stripes should be outlawed and all clubs forced to decide what their first choice colour is. Then there'd never be any colour clash problems.
  • Football etiquette quite clearly states...

"One is either Red OR Blue. One can combine either colour with white but use sparingly and in good taste."

"It is clearly bad taste and de riguer to combine both and shows a distinct lack of 1) class and 2) respect in doing so"

    True that!

Barcelona might beg to differ :-)
