Congratulations to the Gills!

Can't see any other threads on this, so let me be the first to congratulate Gillingham on their promotion to League One. I work with a few Gills fans and I know they'll be delighted.

Back where they belong (in the 3rd division!)

Mad dog is a decent manager, nice for Deon Burton too.
  • God I'm going to get grief on Monday.
    I work in Gillingham
Pikey knobheads will be giving it large when I go in on Monday.
  • Congratulations. I just can't find it in me to hate them. Never ever have been our rivals in any sense.

I would sooner say congratulations to Palace for promotion or Millwall for winning the FA Cup than say it too Gillingham!

Do Gillingham even have rivals? When's the last time they shared a division with Maidstone or Dover?

I read somewhere that Scally offered a free meal to the 28 Accrington fans who made the long journey to support their team under terribe weather conditions last week.
If true, he deserves some respect in spite of all the crap he regularly dishes out about our Club.

    Fixed!

Can't think of many clubs with no obvious rivals in a similar division. Northampton Town maybe?

Don't they class Swindon as rivals?

Swindon is gills main rivals with Fulham and millwall a close 2nd
Some of there fans don't like us due to valley express apparently
Swindon is to do with a cup or play off game where a gills fan ran on the pitch and punch a Swindon player or a ref it's some weird story

All I ever remember is Fulham gills matches used to have trouble even resulted in a fan being killed in the alley way behind the away stand

But Fulham have the quietest, most impassive support I've ever seen! They're outsung at home every week! Did they have a firm purge or something?
