Blimey, are that lot still "wrestling" ? They were big 10-15 years ago, when my boys loved them. Both my boys grew out of WWE, when they were about 12. I think that is the age most grow out of it.
Basically, I think they are effectively actors & stunt men & sometimes the stunts go wrong or they don't stick to the script.
I took my kids to see it at the O2 once. The audience appeared to be half full with kids & a quarter full of adults, who didn't look & sound the brightest. There did appear to be some intelligent adults there, but not too many.
Abuse deflectors up, Earhole shields on standby. I'm going in.....
Goddammit, I've already told you once! Joking...
From what I hear it is crap now. But when I was watching in the late 90s, early 00s besides from the obvious pantomime it was athletic, dangerous and largely unpredictable. Then there'd be "what the hell?" moments like Stone Cold coming out to the ring in a truck and spraying everyone in there with 'beer' through a high powered hose. It wasn't serious at all, and anything that was 'serious' made for an even bigger match at the end of the storyline.
The best example I can think of why I liked it though, are the ECW matches like Jerry Lynn v RVD and Tanaka v Mike Awesome. For guys of their sizes they should not have been able display that sort of agility or endurance, and it was genuine edge of the seat stuff where despite being pre-determined, you really didn't know the outcome.

Nice spoiler John, we are on holiday in France and now I can tell George the undertaker lost, what happened to the little goat beard bloke he likes him as well?
No worries John, we have checked the bleacher report and they are suggesting a oneoff match with Sting from TNA and the Undertaker, this aside I can't think why WWE would write this script?
We all watch it at home, have fairly grown up josbs, we get tickets when it's at the O2, we know it's part theatre, don't take it or ourselves seriously, don't compare it to football and consider ourselves fairly sane. #sportsentertainmentthatsall
I can't believe of all the people they (wwe the business) allows Brock lesner to end the streak. I thought they would either let him retire as the only long serving superstar to never lose at wrestle mania or he would lose to a big fans favourite a few years time like Cena or Bryan. Shocked !
Undertaker had a severe concussion during the match, apparently none of the superstars knew if the streak was to end, Taker had been given the freedom to retire at any point and to keep or end the streak on his terms.
Should have left it as it is, Lesnar will get souch heat from this, and what with the way CM punk left and how big a flop Batistas return has been, WWE seems to be on the way down.
I only hope that they know what they are doing and the business kicks on from here because recently the storylines have been abysmal, the wrestling and showmanship dire, and the scripting dreadfully clichéd.
Bryan is a fan favourite but he isn't a big enough draw, Cesaro and Reigns need to be pushed on to the big stage, Ryback and Big E too, and a new era truly needs to arrive, Orton, Cena, HHH, Brock and the Big Show need to take a back seat. Oh, and please for the love of god put Kane back in his mask!
Makes me laugh, it was probably back in 1982 when they decided to make the action more entertaining and openly admit that it wasn't legitimate. You would think by 1984 the penny would've dropped yet here we are in 2014 with people thinking that they are on to something! The same people who probably haven't realised that Jeremy Kyle and Jerry Springer aren't real shows.

I have seen a few 'characters' local to me on Jeremy Kyle who certainly are not actors.
I'm not totally sure Lesnar was meant to end Takers streak.
Taker was severely concussed and maybe didn't have wherefore all to push out at the three count.
The commentators were definitely shocked as were the crowd.
just a theory.
I thought that too at first, but Lesnar would have been able to make Taker 'kick out' anyway, and they would have ended on the tombstone piledriver.
As I said before, a lot of people have said that Taker makes the decision, so he wouldn't have told anyone if he was going to end it or not, and would have let Brock know during the match if it was time.
Personally I wanted it to continue, with Kane eventually ending it, or even Taker winning and going out on a high, and the way Lesnar has treated WWE in the past he was probably the least deserving of the lot.

A sad day ;-)
Having The Rock, Austin and Hogan together at the start was a good moment too.
Last night was better than I thought, god knows why they have Lesner beat the streak.

I can just see a royal rumble going down on the podium , as the medals are presented.
" they should make this an Olympic sport"
Sounds perfectly feasible to me. At least wrestling is man enough to admit it's fixed.
Wrestlemania was brilliant and it's right up there with 17 for best of all time.

Channel 4 had a documentary on her family a year or so ago when she was first signed by WWE.
