The Kent League Cup final is still to come. Noon kick off on May 11th (FA Cup Final day) against Corinthian.
Game is at a neutral ground, Welling United (!!), so pop down to PVR if you fancy an end of season non league cup final. Should be 400-500 turn up on the day.
7-1 !! They must have paid the ref before the game!! ;o)
Yeah, I heard he was awful! ;o)))
Haha! Was a tough game for the referee, the intensity of the Deres performance was very un-Kent League, he did well to keep up. A few marginal decisions went in favour of the Deres but he only dished out 1 red card to Greenwich when there were at least 3 professional fouls worthy of an early bath.
Reminder that the Kent League Cup final takes place at Park View Road tomorrow, kick off at noon. Welling are hosting the game, so admission will be via their gate, not the E&B gate.
It's Erith & Belvedere vs Corinthian - 1st vs 5th in the league standings, I predict plenty of goals but the result really could go either way.
Another superb day for the Deres yesterday. 452 at Park View Road enjoyed a game that was anyone's with 20 minutes to go. Deres then scored a couple within a few minutes (71 & 73) and the game was over.
So the Deres have now secured the Kent League & Cup double.
The 113 goals the Deres scored in 32 league game has turned out to be the highest average goals scored per league game (3.53) of any team in the top 47 leagues in the country from the Premier League down to all the regional leagues at Step 6 level.
Great scenes on the pitch and in the bar afterwards.

Sounds great fun last night - and almost as dramatic as Brentford v Donny with various penalty misses!
Used to go and watch the Deres down in Lower Belvedere when I was about 13, and Charlton were away - had to get my Sat afternoon football fix!
It was a mad night indeed! If that penalty had gone in for VCD they'd have gone top of the in-play table - a nervy moment waiting for the news.
Same here, Weegie, but I 'converted' to full time Dere, part time Charlton during the Prem years. Have good memories of the old ground.
