Vince Cable

I honestly did not know that Vincy was a Millwall supporter; my mate said he was sat behind him at Ipswich. With that in mind you would have thought he would have jumped the front bench a couple of times and said " go on have some of that"
Will it ever happen; a Millwall supporter being Chancellor of the Exchequer?

  • RIP .. oh .. the old charlatan is still breathing
  • I am a bit slow today Lincs. Would we be referring to Mr Brown?
  • That Vinny's a sly one...at least we now know why he looks shifty, sounds awful and can't be trusted!!
  • P.S. Yes I know that description could describe any Member of Parliament!! ;-)
  • Vincent Cable is a shifty eyed gobshite. It goes without saying that he supports smallwall

Mr who ? .. no when a name appears without any other words, it usually signifies they have died, kicked the bucket, passed away or have dropped dead etc etc .. my automatic reaction is to type RIP ... BUT then, this time, I actually read the text ...

  • And I thought NOTHING could increase my contempt for that waste of skin...

  • Try working for his department. Informed via intranet on Monday that our annual increment of diddly squit will not be paid until September as he "didn't have time to sign it off prior to his summer break." Hope it chucks down.
  • If ever there was an example of an egotistical turd believing his own hype it's this man. At least Ed Miliband is perfectly aware how worthless he is.

    I don't like politicians :)
  • To be fair the Libs are making the most of their day in the sun. Short of inventing a time machine and traveling back to the early 20th century they would still be kicking their sandals trying to think of things to be outraged about without this coalition.

You get what you vote for people.
  • I'm quite impressed that everyone seems to share my utter distaste for this nasty bumbling individual.
You can't but hate someone that likes to use the "Dr" title when they are not an actual Doctor.

He has a PhD he's entitled to the honorific if he wants it. Technically medical 'Doctors' aren't usually really doctors as they don't tend to have a PhD.

But yes he's an arrogant arse of epic proportions.

Yeah, I know that, but it's in Economics isn't it? Hardly anyone (apart from Germans) is dumb enough to embarrass themselves by actually using it!
  • I use mine but I do work at a university.

  • Can we blame him for the Lib Club going downhill ?
  • I do like ol' vince
  • Don't think this is the thread for me at this time at night.

Most politicians are unlikeable. But the biggest problem I have with them is that they rule over us and most of them are intellectually challenged egocentric greedy hyprocrites.

I think if true proportional representation was introduced it would shake things up and some of these prats would realise that they have to impress the people and not their parties and mates.
  • liked him when he wasnt in Government he seemed to talk sence etc. Now he just comes over as another MP twat.Still he could be worse he could be a socialist.

Except, of course, he is. As evidenced by his previous membership of the Labour Party and then he joined the Social Democrats!
As for talking sense: well his so-called mansion tax idea was pretty ludicrous. In London and the South East "mansion" would have actually been either terraced, semi-detached or apartment or, in one case, ex-council flat. Bonkers.

  • Has an annoying habit of moaning about national issues apparently forgetting that as part of the government he is responsible for coalition policy.
  • He thinks he'll be the next Lib Dem leader after they destruct at the next election and the "deputy prime minister" gets the heave ho. I used to vote Lib Dem, but them joining the coalition is like Chris Powell managing Millwall part time to league victory. They've exposed their true colours as power hungry ideology vacuums. I honestly can't see myself voting for anyone... people die for democracy in other countries, that's the scandal
  • I started to wonder about Vince's grasp of real economics when he described tax relief on AVC pension contributions as "A loop hole" I'm not an economist but even I know it's a Benefit to encourage people to save for their retirement. Blokes an idiot another one of the tax everyone on everything brigade.
  • Lib Dems are red Tories and always have been. A friend voted Lib-Dems at the last general election to keep the Tories out and feels betrayed by the party and swears he will never vote for them again.
