  • Hamer 6 One mark lost for rushing off his line a couple of times, that could have been more costly.I would like to see a proper number 2 to keep him on his toes.
Morrison 7 Best game this season although a couple of times he competed for the same ball as Cort
Dervite 7 In some ways had the hardest role of the 3 CB's as he played on the left.Is Wood injured?
Cort 7 Excellent in the air but he did sometimes go for the same ball as his colleagues
Jackson 8 Glad to have him back, extra mark for the corner which led to the second goal
Stephens 8 Played well extra mark for the corner assist.
Pritchard 7 Kept busy, played well and gave the midfield energy
Wiggins 7 Made a couple of vital interventions at the back
Wilson 7 Looked suited to the Wing Back role
    Church 7 Looked busy
    Kermorgant 8 Excellent goal

    Subs:

Gower Kept the ball well and played a useful function
    Cousins Looks a good prospect
    Piggot Held up play effectively
  • Hamer 6 - Average performance. A couple of very good saves, and a few flaps. Doesn't do enough to help out the defence. He needs to communicate more.

Morro 8 - An extra point for the bullet header. Looks much more confident with the extra defender.

Cort 7 - I was concerned when I saw he was the spare defender, as I don't think of him as a footballing centre back. But he doesn't need to be. Blocks, heads, clears, a defender.

Dervite 7 - Still our best footballing central defender. But still has the strength and power to do the dirty work.

Wilson 7.5 - An excellent performance. Gave Morro an option when needed, defended when required. Bombed down the wing and always available. Solly should not be a automatic pick after this performance.

Pritch 9 - Where to begin? An outstanding performance. Tired towards the end, but not surprising, as he had probably run twice as far as any 3 other players added together. Kept it simple, and never stopped.

Stephens 6.5 - Not a bad performance by any means. One superb pass, while only wearing one boot. One of his best performances for Charlton and not even fully fit.

Jackson 6.5 - A couple of quality tackles in the first half, and then got booked (correctly) for a late one. Like Stephens, quality corners, with lots of pace. Makes you realise how much we miss him, even if he doesn't do much.

Wiggins 5.5 - The weak link in the 3-5-2. Decent in the 1st half, but didn't get forward as much in the 2nd. If the formation is to be kept, I think Evina is a better option. Saying that, he wasn't poor.

Church 7 - I would love to give him more, but not much went right for him. He has a "never say d ie" atitude, that will probably make him a legend to Charlton fans.

Yann 8 -Loves playing against Leicester. Deserved more than his one goal, with his superb free kick, and the bullet header which I STILL can't believe Schmieical got to..

Someone on here who knows what he's talking about

  • Hamer - 6.5 (Good saves, but also some nervy moments)
Morrison - 7.5 (Strong play, but the plan seemed to be for him to play the ball out of defence, which I am not sure works)
Dervite - 7 (Did not see him stand out, but the back three worked well together)
Cort - 8 (Very good indeed - surprisingly quick once he gets moving)
Jackson - 7 (More of a calming influence than a great game, but we needed that)
Stephens - 7 (In turns does something great, then something daft)
Pritchard - 8.5 (Chased everything - if he only had a consistent end product, we would be top class)
Wilson - 8.5 (How he gets so much stick I will never know)
Wiggins 7 (Worked hard in defence but going forward was poor)
Kermogant - 7.5 (Not great in the first half, very good in the second)
Church - 8 (Worked tirelessly which was just what we needed)

Hamer 6 shotstopping is ok command of area and crosses needs a ton of work
Morrison 7 unrecognisable from last week
    Dervite 7 did fine
    Cort 7 did fine
Jackson 6 is he really fit? quietish not too mobile good to see him back tho
Stephens 4 a couple of good crosses do not a performance make - still hiding
Pritchard 9.5 MOTM seemingly limitless energy and commitment and good job when the above shirker is in the team
Wiggins 7 almost back to his old self which is great news
Wilson 6 had virtually no defending to do but contributed little elsewhere and the alice band warrants an immediate yellow card
Church 7 a good honest shift - bizarre miss of open goal
Kermorgant 9 terrific could have had a hattrick but for Schmeichel's 2 great saves and defended like a trojan when we were hanging on

Gower his cameo showed up Stephen's lack of effort
Cousins looks good so far, not sure he was entirely clear of his role Saturday
Pigott another promising showing looks strong with decent first touch

SCP (unnecessary?) gamble on Wiggins paid off, substitutions slightly earlier than we're used to seeing which is good to see - progress? watford huddersfield and the spanners all in a week will tell us that
  • now closed for marks. stats soon
  • Hamer-6.5 other 'keepers are showing what a difference a keeper makes
Morrison- 7.5 back on form - did losing the captaincy repsonsiblity make the difference?
Dervite 6 the goal he gave away was the only time I noticed him
Cort-7 getting better al the time but sometimes looks clumsy
Jackson-8 solid and welcome return, extra half point as I feel his return lead to the return to form of Morro and Kerm
    Stephens-8 Whens he's good he's good
Pritchard-8 And the same can be said for Stephens
    Wiggins-7 good steady perfomance
Wilson-78 nice to see someone chasing the ball
Church- 7 steady but not outstanding
Kermorgant- 8.5 MOM back to he previous best

Cousins and piggot - good to see the academy providing

Definately an improved performance - by a long way - but steady on!
