The National League has launched a campaign to get 3 promotion places
2 up from the NL is a nonsense, when the quality gap between the NL and L2 is tiny. Most teams promoted from the NL survive quite comfortably in L2, indeed teams relegated from L1 are if anything more likely to go down again, as happened with Forest Green and may happen with Carlisle this season.
It's especially odd when between L1 and L2 there are 4 places at stake.
Would have double check this, but I think it’s been 25+ years since either of the promoted NL sides have been relegated the following season after promotion.

Imagine there'll be a few nervous clubs bottom half of League Two now. The standard between top half of NL and bottom half of L2 gets smaller every year. Oldham, Rochdale, Southend, Hartlepool, Yeovil, Scunthorpe, etc have all had their difficulties since going down. Since 2017/18 when Tranmere won the NL playoff final, 11/14 promoted sides have stayed up since with Tranmere, Orient, Stockport and Wrexham all going a step higher for at least one season. Every chance Wrexham end up in the Championship next year and Notts County and potentially Salford will join the group of teams that have come up again to League One
Wasnt aware that Sittingbourne beat Southend 1-0 away on Saturday in the FA Trophy. Into the last 8 which is an amazing achievement for a club playing in the Isthmian South East League.
They could only draw 1-1 at Erith Town last night. Brought about 80 fans on a Tuesday night to Thamesmead.

I don't think anyone's ever gone straight back down again, going all the way back to Scarborough in 1987.
Hendon deserve to lose, as for some reason their bar has 3 lagers on draught, but the ales were only in bottles!
Had a Guinness in the first half when we were terrible, but in the second half switching to a Spitfire did the trick.
Sadly, it's not our bar. We are only tenants. Can't afford players, let alone a ground.
I wasn't being entirely serious, and am aware of the precarious nature of many non league clubs.
I don't know who's responsible for the beer range, but it is a bit odd. As someone who's gone to both Hendon and Wingate & Finchley recently, the latter has a better beer selection, and drink sales can make a big financial difference at this level.
Come on you wings. 100 min equaliser, and won on pens. Whatever will be, will be, we’re off to Gillingam FC, Que sera sera. Ha, ha, never thought I would type this

My last visit there was when our U21s won the London Senior Cup 2 seasons ago
Hendon much the better team
21 games unbeaten is good, but we're no Huddersfield
