  • I refer you to my previous post
  • He was very one way,not a winger and not a dig at him as he was thrown in, but if he received the ball from fox and ran back towards him once then he did it one hundred times. But then he's not a winger so who can blame him
  • Not going to criticise him as played out of position in a poor side.

He stuck with and look better when he switched sides.
  • Looks a much better attacking option from LB than Fox who alongside Solly is really limiting our forward play at the moment.
  • Felt sorry for him - why was he played in midfield?
  • Quiet first half but had some decent touches.
Switched to the right for the last twenty and I thought he was our best player in that time.
  • Will eventually have to bulk up if he wants to survive in English football.

Some nice touches but is not ready for the first team at the moment.
  • Thought he did ok throughout. One very tenuous positive on a horrible night.
  • He made a couple of decent runs in the first half and a couple of reasonable crosses, but understandably looked a bit lightweight.

The fact that he stayed on for the full 90 is a reflection of how badly the rest of the midfield did!

  • En... i noticed that fox and solly have little impact going forwards

Thd did well enough on his full debut

Doctor Kish reporting that this injury has eventually forced his early retirement from the game at 24 years of age.
    Wishing him all the best.

    Its an article from 2016.
  • That is devastating for the lad, he had such huge potential.  I think I have only ever watched 2 youth games.  In the first was a young right back who looked head and shoulders the best in the pitch and was Chris Solly and a few years later was a young left back who looked tremendous and destined for a great career and it was Tariq.
  • That's a shame, suppose that explains why his trial with us came to an end so soon.
  • Such a shame. Thought he looked decent (if unremarkable)for us and will always remember him leaving Bannan flat on his arse. Hope he finds another career. Good luck lad.

  • Sad news for the lad.
  • Sad news.

Speaking with a group of Dads of our young academy sides, (it was when the Luton manager Jones was coach of under 21's)
the consenus was that the 3 best prospects were Nick Pope (who joined CAFC at about 16) Joe Gomez who was only 14 or 15 but already playing for U18 and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, who was impressing as a left back or left midfield.

Joe and Nick are full England Internationals and unlucky Tareiq has to quit at 24.

The fickled finger of football fate.
And it's cases like this why I understood but didn’t agree with the actions of Taylor the selfish c**t

  • Remember him from an fa youth cup tie at old Trafford when azeez, pigott and another young black forward touted as the next best thing (who’s name escapes me) also played.
Holmes Dennis was the youngest player on the pitch by far yet played in central midfield and seemed to find himself so much time and space on the ball and for me was the standout player. Thought at the time we had a real gem coming through.

    Do you Harriot?

I don't remember THD from that game, the best to players on the pitch were Diego Poyet and Jack Barnby (who is now playing 2nd tier in the US)
  • Or Brandon Hanlan?

I had seen Azeez play before and was surprised he didn't start.  It was a good team and shocking that the best player is about the only not making a living out of it.
