*******2nd PITCH INSPECTION 2.15 ED - Game ON*********

I don't get why it's "embarrassing". If the pitch is waterlogged then it's waterlogged.
If that's a reason to be embarrassed then you need to get out more.0 -

Great just parked up never even thought of checking</blockquote
You'd expect a club of our size to have a pitch capable of being rained on0 -
Any optimist going to start a match day thread?0

It's called "The Valley" for a reason. Drainage will always be a problem when you are lower than the surrounding area.0

Yeah because we have a history of poor pitches and gamws being called off due to water logging don't we!JWADDICK said:It's called "The Valley" for a reason. Drainage will always be a problem when you are lower than the surrounding area.
The pitch last season was a joke, the budget has clearly been cut and this is the result.

Real Ales struggling in the Oak as well. Extra half hour and all that0

Looking at the pitch. This 90mins is basically going to trash the east stand wing, the north goal mouth and both north corners. Doubt they will recover and we'll be back to last seasons slag heap.0

Pitch was shocking.
Whether or not it's to do with the budget, the fact is we are watching 2nd tier football played on slag heap.

Probably something to do with the weather.mid_life_crisis said:Pitch was shocking.

I'm sorry but every other football league pitch can cope with some rain, yet ours can't. Dread to think what it will be like if we have a bad winter.
FA will probably fine us if it keeps happening
