    147

    JOHN HIGGINS

John Higgins got the 159th 147 and his 11th becoming joint with Stephen Hendry as the 2nd most 147s in snooker history.

No crowd but a massive cheer from Trump, Selby, Eckardt and the camera man when he potted the black 🤣
    🤣

  • Group 2
    Result and Current Table

    John Higgins 3-1 Kyren Wilson

    Kyren Wilson 6 Points
    John Higgins 6 Points
    Ken Doherty 3 Points
    Joe Perry 0 Points

So its down to the final match between Perry and Doherty.

If Doherty wins 3-0 he wins the group any other result and Wilson wins the group

  • Group 1
    Result and Final Table

    Mark Selby 3-0 Judd Trump

    Judd Trump 6 Points
    Zhao Xintong 4 Points
    Zhou Yuelong 4 Points
    Mark Selby 3 Points

Selby turned it on to late, Xintong will be disappointed he was 2-1 ahead against Yuelong and if he had taken that last frame it would be him through instead of Trump now
  • Doherty takes frame 1 on table 2

    Can he do it
  • Doherty has taken a 2 frame lead.

Massive frame coming up, Kyren Wilson will be concerned atm.

Incredible stuff from Ken Doherty, who would have thought at the start of this tournament that he would be in a position to be1 frame away from the final
  • edited October 2020
Gutted for Ken he had half chances in frame 3 but Perry took it and that means Wilson wins the group no matter what happens in the final frame.

Trump v Wilson will be the final
  • Group 2
Result and Final Table(Last table I have to do lol)

    Joe Perry 2-2 Ken Doherty

    Kyren Wilson 6 Points
    John Higgins 6 Points
    Ken Doherty 4 Points
    Joe Perry 1 Points
  • Championship League Final

    Judd Trump v Kyren Wilson

With both of these already at next weeks Champion of Champions, Dave Gilbert has booked the final spot
  • KYREN WILSON IS CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE WINNER

    Championship League
    Final

    Kyren Wilson 3-1 Judd Trump

Unfortunately for Trump this is a ranking event so he loses his run off winning ranking event Finals

  • Interesting that Kyren Wilson spoke in his interview about his brother helping him on tour over the past year or so(obviously not recently)

So thats Trump and Wilson that have seen a marked improvement in their game with their brothers help, other players will be quickly trying to get their brothers involved 🤣🤣
  • Cheers Paulie. Not been able to watch it last couple of days so thanks as ever for the updates
  • Is it a rule or just a change in the etiquette of the game? I don't mind a concession if for example there's one red left and one player has been playing for snookers and then his opponent pots the red. But I don't like the idea of a concession when someone is in the middle of a break.
Its an official rule change, commentators have mentioned it a few times now, one player at the table gets to snookers required and the other player just concedes.

I saw it a few times with King yesterday it wasnt even a case were he tried to play on for snookers on anything then just gave up.

That was one of the times, that time Wilsom had only potted 1 ball then King conceded but in an earlier frame Wilson had about a 30 break and King conceded.

When does it stop, can u concede if your opponent has 99 and u dont want them to get a century just to piss them off?
I remember it happening once many years ago and everyone commented on it being bad form.  However, as you say, you could ruin someone's tournament by conceding at a inopportune moment.  Would the referee stop you on 140 with just the black to go and your opponent, with the current highest break of the tournament at 146, concedes?
  • With the Champion of Champions starting tomorrow and now with Dave Gilbert filling the last slot I thought I would quickly put the weeks schedule in, obviously I wrote out the groups when the draw was done but not who was playing who

    Monday

    Neil Robertson v Jimmy White
    John Higgins v Ding Junhui

    Tuesday

    Judd Trump v Stuart Bingham
    Shaun Murphy v Dave Gilbert

    Wednesday

    Mark Selby v Luca Brecel
    Kyren Wilson v Stephen Maguire

    Thursday

    Ronnie O'Sullivan v Michael Holt
    Mark Allen v Scott Donaldson

Remember this format you have the 2 group matches in the afternoon best of 7s, then the winners come back in the evening for a place in the Semi Finals
  • Little bit chilly in Milton Keynes as The Thunder and The Whirlwind get ready to hit the table, hold on to your hats everyone 🤣🤣
  • Not sure if I have already said this but its live on ITV4 all week.

But for anyone interested who is unable to watch, as its a one table setup all the way through I will done a frame by frame update as well as the final score of each match
