My favourite beer. That's a pic of it in my profile ;0)
  • Gagging for a Fosters :-)

Bar a pint in Cannon St spoons and a driving pint at a recent CARD meeting, not been near a pub in weeks :-(

    Philistine.

    Get off our thread!

    ;o)
  • The Woolwich Equitable pub is fantastic. Well worth a look people, they have live music on a friday and a saturday.

    Nice selection of Ales.
  • Anyone tried Beavertown Bloody Ell?

On the search for it now it's back for this year's batch.
  • @North Lower Neil I've not had any of this year's batch but I bought 6 cans of it last year (I was the first person to buy anything in the Oddbins beer shop in B'heath and that was my purchase..)... Anyway, must admit I wasn't massively impressed with it at the time and didn't get any hint of orange in there, but that might be because I am a bit crap at tasting..who knows? I'll hunt some down (again, Oddbins B'heath bound to have some) and will give it another go.. If you can, suggest you get hold of whatever 'Attack of the Lupuloids' from Beavertown you can...I've had 3 so far and all been excellent...I think another 3 have just come out...
  • I'll keep an eye out, cheers!

Considering going up to their tap room at some point in the summer.
  • Curious IPA brewed at The Chapel Down Winery in Tenterden, lovely stuff.
  • Longman's APA...well worth trying, hd several 1/2 of it yesterday.

The Curious Brew is my favourite lager at the moment. The Porter is very, very nice too.

Had a nice pint of honey Porter last night. St Peter's if I remember. Followed by a Crouch Vale "Essex boys" an unremarkable session bitter
  • Bought some Cafferys fromTesco's forgotten how much I used to enjoy it, and now only 3.8% don't blow my head off, nice pint.

When it first came out, I think it was over 5%, as you say, it was easy to drink. Lost two bank cards trying to get cash out one night, as I couldn't remember my PIN. God the headaches the next day when you had a gallon or more the evening before.
  • I know went down far too easy , but a nice drink now.

  • Going to have to bump this thread.

Can't have the Beer thread languishing on page 2.

  • Popped into the Arbitrager (Throgmorton St) yesterday afternoon, some lovely beers in there.
  • In Suffolk this week and currently drinking Ease Up IPA brought from the shop next to the Adnams Brewery in Southwold - Delicious it is as well!
  • Westerham Brewery's splendid Family Stout went down rather nicely at The Penny Farthing, Crayford, on Easter Saturday.

Like Ghost Ship, Adnams one of my favourite breweries. Broadside my favourite at 6.3%
  • Broadside is very good. But Tally Ho! is a real step up in class.
  • Bottled and draught Broadside are two completely different beers these days.
  • I had 6 pints of Elvis Juice (IPA, 6.5%, lovely) in the Mitre, Greenwich, last night and I don't remember getting home...I'm going to have to give it all a break for a while....
  • I can't believe that nobody has mentioned beer for over a week.

So my recommendation, if you're ever around Boston. Trillium Brewery, especially their Fort Point IPA. Not you're normal IPA, very fruity, which is becoming a trend in these parts.

    Boston Lincolnshire or Boston USA?
  • USA - which is a bit of a long trip for a beer.
