The Harp is still a cracker. Not much had changed last time I was in. It's one of those pubs I struggle to walk past. Always have to pop in for one, even if I'm running late. Rude not to.1

Three weeks and nobody has mentioned beer. I've seen more comments about trains and obscure stations.
So, I have to share, tonight I'm drinking Allagash St Kliippenstein. Strong ale aged in bourbon barrels Beyond good, and very chocolate.

they serve that in a pub/restaurant in eynsford. :-) yes, it’s true, the beer is refermented (special strain of yeast and a little bit of sugar are added directly into the bottle, into the fresh beer, so liquid keeps evolving in the bottle, as yeast works ). For the first three months we keep bottles in the brewery, in most favourable temperature conditions. So what you get as at least 3 months aged and taste is already different from the fresh beer. But yeast keeps working (unless you freeze it down, temperature should not go below 16 degrees) and taste’s changing – up to cca 18 months. After that all sugar is eaten and process stops, but beer doesn’t get rotten, you can keep for 2-3 years. The older beer is the less “beerish” taste it has, personally I’d say it’s getting better.
Yeah, it’s strong, but all the abv is from malt, it is natural. Plus it also has natural co2, not added, and vitamins from the yeast, so there is much smaller risk of headache if hangover :-)2 -

I can't stand Beer or Lager... the taste is just not right.
Mead however, that's some tasty booze.
Wine is ok (don't like Red, it gives migraines within an hour of a glass)
Spirits is where I am at home.
I'm not even afraid to announce this...
My top 5 drinks are:
1. Vodka Orange
2. Mojito
3. Vodka Lime Soda
4. Desperado's/Amigo's

Spent last Saturday night at Craft Beer Rising - micro/craft beer festival on Brick Lane...had some amazing brews (I like hoppy, keg based APAs/lighter IPAs etc)...too many to name but a long time favourite is what the guys at Bad Seed Brewery are doing...their 'Cascade' is a great beer... (In other news I hope to be able to announce a new micro brewery in our part of south east London in the coming months....). Cheers3
