Isn't he on loan from villa though?lancashire lad said:Bent would make so much sense, Curbs knows he would be welcome, we could restore his confidence then he would become an asset for Fulham to use or sell come the end of the season - simple!

Problem with that is that Bent is only on loan at Fulhamlancashire lad said:Bent would make so much sense, Curbs knows he would be welcome, we could restore his confidence then he would become an asset for Fulham to use or sell come the end of the season - simple!

How is Obika doing? I can't remember where he went....0

Much as i'd love to see Darren Bent back at the valley, isn't he now earning a reported £80,000 a week , what are we going to do , pay him in saveloys?
:-00 -
In an ideal world, targets would already be identified or the club isn't doing it's job - this is where CP can make his mark. We need strikers for more than 6 months IMO so purchases or loans need to be thought through.0

Problem for me is his injury record plus the state of our pitch - not a good mix.lancashire lad said:Bent would make so much sense, Curbs knows he would be welcome, we could restore his confidence then he would become an asset for Fulham to use or sell come the end of the season - simple!

Darren Bent? Has Ackworth signed in under a false name? Real suggestions please. Looks like it may be Reza & Biton. Any tweets from Dom Dyer?0

kevin phillips is on soccer AM this morning and has said he has been in talks with a club, he has also said he wants to stay in the midlands so i guess that rules us out0

Think he's being linked with Wolves.CafcTeckers said:kevin phillips is on soccer AM this morning and has said he has been in talks with a club, he has also said he wants to stay in the midlands so i guess that rules us out

Adam Le Fondre would be good. Spurs don't loan out players twice to the same club, so Obika would be unlikely. Jonathan Obika's Wikkipedia page states that Obika is under contract to Spurs until 2014, doesn't say when. Spurs will be looking for a fee. I have a lot of time for Obika who is quick and scored some good goals from the left.0

Linked to us as well.0

Don't see any permanent deals happening but a few loans. I think two in from Standard Liege and a couple from Prem/Championship. Think if this happens we can finish comfortably out of a relegation spot. Would very much like a striker in before Barnsley. Reza would do nicely.0

I think we should approach David Mooney, he's a man with confidence which is probably something a team like ours would crave and desire10

I'm assuming with the name 'junior' you didn't see him play for us before then!0

Sorry Piggy which player? Phillips or Le Fondre?operationpig said:Linked to us as well.

We have had loads worse than David Mooney, the dogs abuse our fans give him is toe-curlingly embarassing.
Don't want to sign him though.0 -
Didn't help himself though by a) being a dogshit player for us and b) with point a) in mind, cupping his ears to OUR fans on one of the extremely rare occasions he scored a goal.seth plum said:We have had loads worse than David Mooney, the dogs abuse our fans give him is toe-curlingly embarassing.

Not saying he hasn't got a right to give a bit back after getting castigated, but as I said, he didn't help himself.0 -
The 'junior' is only due to the fact that m dad is on this forum too haha, I was indeed about in that season and I recognized that he had a footballing brain but lacked the strength to play in that division however he is showing he can be a class act in that division and I personally feel he could do a job for us, but I somewhat doubt the fans would give him a chance. My view on this thread is that we should bring in someone who may possess a decent price tag but is also someone who can put the ball in the back of the net as we're not going to go up with bog-standard free transfers/loans etc and I would love the think that we're in the financial position now where we don't have to rely on players in that bracket.Essex_Al said:I'm assuming with the name 'junior' you didn't see him play for us before then!

Elliot Grandin looked a good player at Blackpool too, a mate of mine watched him in preseason at palace and suggested he just needs game time as he has the undoubted ability to score 15-20 goals a season in the championship.0

Could wrong but hasn't Mooney gone off the boil lately in regards to goal scoring?0

he hasn't been on loan this season i dont recall ?0

Looks like we've missed out on Lewandovski.......1

I'd still go for Harry Kane. Didn't go great at Norwich, a tiny bit better at Leicester, but he's made for us. Brilliant at pulling play out to the inside left right channels, and also coming from those areas into the box. He'll make loads of space for Kermo or Church and helping out our one paced midfield.0

nope, was linked with Yeovil and Brighton but they never happenedcharltonaddickedmatt said:he hasn't been on loan this season i dont recall ?

We should look in Trinidad and Tobago as they're swimming in good strikers over there! Our major problem is that both Church and Kermy are both the same type of 'hole' player, and we need an out-and-out striker. The type depends on where our play comes through - a big man for wing play or a flair player if we're playing through the middle0

Becchio on loan from Norwich would be the one.He doesn't seem to get anywhere near their team.3
