I think the expectancy was for Chris Solly to be sold and bring in some money, thats not going to happen cos of his knees, so they've decided to raise some cash elsewhere. I don't think Yann has been as mobile since his own injury worries and is probably top earner. From a financial point if view this may make sense, however we need a decent replacement ( not a free SL cast off), we need someone who will improve the morale of the team, and most importantly some GOALS!.0

Thing is we are never ever going to be competitive for players that are established in the Championship, if we offer sensible wages, we weren't when we offered more than we could afford. when say competitive for a club our size , do yu think it would be based on age, class of player and future sell on ,
so if we got a 24 yr old in who had a bit about him and was a investment opportunity, we would pay more, if you were an older player may be not so much0 -
D at this stage of the season we need to strenghen the team not weaken it , unless we bring someone in to replace yann it is gonna be a problem , age etc dont come into it, its about wots right at this moment cos we could drop into league 1 again which would be a disaster for the club ,i just hope RD keeps off the stella over the next 48 hrs.1

He's scored a few goals in the Dutch 2nd division and he's only 20. If he rejects Benfica for us it'll prove beyond all doubt we are a bigger club than Benfica now.0
