There was concrete interest from Portugal and France, but Piotr Parzyszek continues his career in England. Polish striker De Graafschap signed Friday a contract for 4.5 years at Charlton Athletic.
"They have taken me a long time," responds the twenty attacker to Voetbal International. "After negotiations with Nantes came to nothing, they have caught on. They wanted me first take in the summer, but now see me as a direct reinforcement.
Parzyszek this season with sixteen hits top scorer of the county. There was a long time a lot of interest. "Therefore, it does feel like a liberation," continues Parzyszek. "Interest is nice, but if it does not help, you have not much to it. Playing in England has always been a dream. Moreover, the choice of Charlton is one of perspective. I can well develop and make me play minutes. '
Parzyszek was born in Poland, but moved at a young age to the Netherlands. He made since 2007 part of the youth of the county. "It's my cluppie and goodbye will not be easy. Fortunately, I have the club in this way can also deliver. "Financially much
The county reportedly receives 700 thousand euros for the striker, who Friday medically verified and will then join the selection of Charlton Athletic. Who then prepares for the away match against Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
They wanted me first take in the summer, but now see me as a direct reinforcement.
Is anyone else reading this as though we tried signing him in the summer?
I read it as we first wanted to get him the next transfer window, but we chose to make the deal now to reinforce the squad for the remainder of the season
So we're in the bottom 3 and we're losing our best players but signing players who we've:
1. never heard of 2. have never played in English football 3. are seen as future Standard Liege players if they do well for us
I, for one, am not seeing a pretty future for our football club.
Keeping Yann & Dale are paramount to keeping us in this division this season. The new players may well be good players but they should be to play alongside our best players not to replace them.

Yep, that's exactly how I read it. Doesn't really seem feasible that we were chasing him in the summer though, we couldn't even afford to give Fuller a new contract.
I've got absolutely no issue with our top players leaving for Liege if they do well for us. If they're good enough and playing well enough that a champions league club wants them then we'll quite likely be doing a lot better than sitting in the championship relegation zone. No different to doing well and any other club buying our best players. At the moment we're not doing well and clubs are still buying our best players!!
In my trying to make sense of things I get the feeling that Chris Powell is attempting to understand Roland's logic, and is even sort of buying into Roland's project. In the past with TJ there are examples where Chris has had to bend to the whim of the owner. If Roland and Chris are 85% in agreement, and are trying to improve things, then it would be good news, even if favourite players depart because of historic contractual cock ups.

Trouble is though if these future Standard Liege players can get us into the Premier League then we should (If RD is such a good Businessman and if we're not already) become almost the parent club because of the financial rewards from that Division so we'll get the best Liege players and our youngsters will go there (or Spain) for experience
don't wanna get shot down as some racist BNP activist here, but this is doing my head in. How are people celebrating getting a bunch of nobody foreign loans in who don't know the league or care for the club. Have you ever heard of these mugs prior to the last 2 weeks?
I love that we built our base round a core squad of predominantly british players who are understood what the club was all about. Felt genuine affection to this generation of cafc and it's gonna take a long time for me to idolise this Gooch like i did Yann. Not saying these players wont come good....but i liked us being a bit shit but going about it the right way.
This does not feel right.
Do you not remember Jorge Costa? He wasn't English and, from memory, it took about five minutes for him to become a Charlton Legend, and he was only here for half a season!
If the players we are getting in are quality it is a positive. It is a bit nervy for us as we don't know how good they are, but we probably have to wait and see. All this will almost certainly lose us 3 points on Saturday, but it might not be so bad. I don't like players going befor ethey are replaced - but if they are replaced with what proves to be better - well we shoudl be content. I don't know what to think so have decided not to for now.
Bored now. No new names linked with us for over half an hour, none of our players spotted getting on a train to Bournemouth all day, manager has done a pretty standard Thursday press conference, Rich Cawley hasn't tweeted anything Charlton-related for hours. Dull, dull, dull.

A real shame. He is definitely one of the current players I would want to keep. He has shown real quality this season and added a bit of steel to his tackles too. I truly wish him well but time though to drop the bollox about being a northern lad homesick for the pits and mills.

Come on Yann.......please stay.
well worth a read. Update from the press conference today

I read it as we discussed buying him in the summer (2014) but have since decided we need him now.
I read it that we were going to agree to take him this summer approaching but agreed to take him now as we need him now
Either way if we're going to win a load of free kicks around the penalty area we need to keep Yann even more!
