@SkySportsPeteO: Doubts surrounding the future of Chris Powell at Charlton starting to emerge. #CAFC
Uh oh
You do seriously have to wonder how many of these incoming players are ones that have been chosen by Powell. I know that is often the way on the continent where a Director of Football decides who to bring in and the Coach works with what he is given but would SCP be willing to work under that sort of system?
The suggestion that CP's job is under threat is hardly surprising, find the timing of this breaking news a bit odd though. What's happened this morning that's prompted the Sky journo and the Mail to both publish this information? It's not look Powell failed to show for this morning's Press Conference.

Yup. It can be very cold out there - look at Curbs.
I also think the plans in general would have been discussed and targets identified. The loans were no brainers as we need reinforcements. The targets look good as well.
No one can predict who will come in for whom and at what price. Everyone is for sale at every club and a a manager you have to live with that.
Football managers are positive guys. CP is probably thinking that if he makes a go of it the future looks good. So do I.

This is turning out to be one of the craziest days in our history. God knows what the afternoon holds for us.
Still all of tomorrow to come as well, proper rollercoaster ride at the moment. The confirmed facts - who we've bought, who we've sold, who we've offered contracts to - is so far reasonably positive, I think we're probably better of today than we were this time yesterday. The rumours going round at the moment regarding SCP and Yann make the picture look a hell of a lot bleaker though.
as we speak, across Kent, hundreds of torn up season tickets are being quickly sellotaped back together again.
that made me chuckle !!!Over the moon if Wiggy stays & signs a long term contract - not too bothered about losing Dale as long as he is replaced. He has a good shot on him but has only really picked up his game this season and then only when paired with Cousins.
Could well be that we are not selling Yann until we are confirmed to have someone else definitely coming in.
Alternatively, quite possible that Bournemouth offered Yann a longer deal but less money than he wanted or that there was more performance-based pay in what they were offering.
If that is the case then he might choose to stay till summer and go on a Bosman and pick up a signing on fee somewhere.

I love Chris Powell!
Bless his cotton socks !
Wouldn't expect anything less from our man !
There's probably an element of truth in it, but not as bad as its being made out
( Hope you are REALLY OK !)
( The Diplomatic Corps would welcome you with open arms !)
