... and if he doesn't, you can see why the new owners would want to cash in on him while they can.

    yep cawlye said stephens gone.
  • I think its good that we the fans are going to have more to shout about

I got a text last night saying yann had gone and was signed

Got a text just now saying he is here at sparrows

So is it saying goodbye or is it to rethink

Who knows but if we get the fella from nantes yann will not nesc be a first choice

Isn't it good to have choices and competition

I hope my faith in waiting and not worrying will be repaid

Is Gleeson at MK Dons still injured, would be a decent replacement for Dale.

don't wanna get shot down as some racist BNP activist here, but this is doing my head in. How are people celebrating getting a bunch of nobody foreign loans in who don't know the league or care for the club. Have you ever heard of these mugs prior to the last 2 weeks?

I love that we built our base round a core squad of predominantly british players who are understood what the club was all about. Felt genuine affection to this generation of cafc and it's gonna take a long time for me to idolise this Gooch like i did Yann. Not saying these players wont come good....but i liked us being a bit shit but going about it the right way.

    This does not feel right.

No irony that the player you named isn't actually British.

It's not as if we've never had overseas player before. JJ (mark 1), Kish, Costa, Firmani, Leary, Jeppson all heroes (to some).

If they are good enough and play for the shirt then they are OK with me.
  • Garvan could be a good replacement

Said last night it was inconcievable that all these players going hadn't been considered.

We clearly have a plan, and some of the names being banded round are quality players.

Might not be reflected in the result, but I suspect our squad will look considerably stronger by 3pm at Wigan on Saturday.

Logged off last night ready to blow my brains out.....just logged again to 248 posts of utter madness.

If Wiggins stays and we boost the squad with these newbies then it'll be an interesting end to the season.

Another Arsenal youngster on the move is Benik Afobe, with the 20-year-old striker having linked up with Sheffield Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough are in talks to sign Danny Graham, currently on a season-long loan at Hull City, Sky Sports understands.

Funny that Dale leaving is seen as a massive blow, he has had about 10 good games in 3 years for us, he isn't an integral part of the dressing room and has rumoured to be unsettled for 18 months now.

If we can get a fee for him and sign up a young premium midfielder on loan next week that can play a killer ball, then I'm all for it.

You do seriously have to wonder how many of these incoming players are ones that have been chosen by Powell. I know that is often the way on the continent where a Director of Football decides who to bring in and the Coach works with what he is given but would SCP be willing to work under that sort of system?

If we could pull that off I'd be happy.
