don't wanna get shot down as some racist BNP activist here, but this is doing my head in. How are people celebrating getting a bunch of nobody foreign loans in who don't know the league or care for the club. Have you ever heard of these mugs prior to the last 2 weeks?
I love that we built our base round a core squad of predominantly british players who are understood what the club was all about. Felt genuine affection to this generation of cafc and it's gonna take a long time for me to idolise this Gooch like i did Yann. Not saying these players wont come good....but i liked us being a bit shit but going about it the right way.

This isn't 1985 anymore, players move countries all the time. Why are they mugs???? Lets see what happens.
I'm completely and utterly lost now. Can someone please summerise whats going on?
Loic Nego and Reza Ghoochannejhad has joined permanently I think
Piotr Parzyszek is apparently going to have a medical tomorrow, joining on a 4,5 year deal
It is said Wiggins has been offered a 4,5 year contract
And then Cedric Bakambu has been mentioned
Tomorrow could be a lot of fun pain for Charlton fans for once... Usually the Transfer Window closes so quietly at the Valley no one realises it was ajar anyway...

No one knows if whoever comes in will be any good or not but if you remove yourself from being the passionate charlton supporter (as we all are) and put yourself in RDs business position - the current players, as much as we like them, have got us in a relegation position (from an outsiders view). We aren't going to attract proven champ players given our current league position so we either get lower league players from this country (who the world and their mother in the uk have probably already scouted) or we try some players from Europe who might do a good job here and sell on for a profit.

In fairness to MummysLittleSoldier, I do kinda see where he is coming from. The fact that a lot of the current players had been with us for 3 years meant that there was more of a connection between them and the fans.
We might get the same with the new players, but its unlikely when you look at how chaotic Roland's merry-go-round is.
I do know what you mean MLS. It's all happening a bit quick and we've got used to Kermogant even if he does have touch of garlic about him. But even though one of these guys is Iranian and another from Eastern Europe, they've both lived in civilised countries long enough to get the hang of our ways. It'll be fine, I'm sure.

Looks like they're responding to all the twitter action and speculation yesterday!!

You mean Yann then Frenchman?
Maybe he thinks being a breton means he's british. ;-)
Still a bit worried about our lack of creativity in midfield, especially is Stephens goes. Koc has only come to be with the under 21s by the sounds of it. Still need another winger in and someone to replace Dale.
This is too much to take in, how is one supposed to work with all this going on?! How am I supposed to stay sane? Spent yesterday evening trying to decide between slitting my wrists or hanging myself, all of a sudden there's a hint of reasons for optimism in the air, and no doubt by tonight I'll be looking up "How to make a noose" on You Tube again.
I need to be at home with Sky Sports News on and 4 laptops lined up in front of me all on auto-refresh.
If we've offered a contract to Wiggins, do it for Yann too?
I agree to offering a one year extension (it's been rumoured that we already have) but at the age of 32, I can't see us offering any more than one year. It would have to be a year by year thing at the age. Same for Jackson should we decide to offer him a contract too.
Further to that, if he doesn't want to accept what we are offering him, then getting a fee of around £500k for a player of his age on the contract he's on isn't a bad move now we have options coming in.
knew someone would get saucy and mention Yann. Key word was predominantly british...
Look, I can see it from both sides. Maybe I'm jumping the gun a little, but my point is everyone laughed at Watford and their foreign loan experiment. I actually LIKE the current crop of players. I completely understand that these new lot could prove their worth, but overhauling the squad in January with players who don't know the league...I'm just not sure it can come together. I guess I'm just frustrated that a few new contracts and 2/3 players in the door would haev seen me confidently going we will stay up. Right now, it's anyones guess aint it.
