However - would you accept it if it meant RD getting some money he could trouser & then bugger off ??
a no brainer, if he wanted to sell the whole team and bugger off that's fine by me.

Unfortunately not too surprising really. Will be OK if Lookman is on a loan-back until the end of the season. Would prefer we kept Konsa - but as long as we keep Lennon and Tex then we should be OK.

This is just painfull. What we need is some more people in the comms department. Come on Katie, get working. We'll never get promoted to the prem without a decent comms.

Always gonna happen, new owners or not. We are a league 1 club and prem clubs want them

As long as the money is right and a decent chunk given to KR

Why do we need to sell?

We are financially stable, we're aiming for the Premiership, we're backing the new manager, we've learnt from our mistakes, the club's not for sale.

because he's selling but can't get the price he wants so thinks by selling he can bridge the gap between acceptable offer and his asking price.
Bearing in mind he sold Standard Liege's best players before he sold the club.

All depends on how much Robinson is given/promised to spend in the January window.

We have always been a selling club, but when your CEO states 2 months ago in front of a supporters group that Lookman would not be sold in the January transfer window, then it's another faux pas on her ever growing list.
  • I'd actually have no problem with selling Lookman under a normal owner. He is probably the best player in league one on his day and Prem clubs want young players like him. Twelve million and loan back, similar to what the Nigel's did with Zaha, and itd be fine; half to running costs, half to buy the players to fill the gap. Unfortunately, we all know Duchatalet will sell and keep the money, backslapping himself that his plan is working. Selling Lookman and failing to adequately replace him will quell any faint promotion hopes we have.

    Asset strip prior to disposal.

Looks like my Valley Gold is finally getting cancelled.

He probably does believe his plan is working, Gomez last year, now Lookmam.

Sell Lookman with a loan back.

With the money buy 2 decent centre midfielders, I'd be happy with that.

Will that actually happen? I doubt it.

10m for both is an insult. Lookman in the current market is 7-8 upfront and add ons up to 10m.

Konsa is 3-4m upfront and add ons up to 5-6m.

10 million is what I'd expect and incompetent CEO and owner to take.....oh.

Sell loan and konsa week one of transfer window, next three weeks spent being linked with quality midfielder. Roger and Foley sign 5 year contracts at 1 minute to midnight on 31st Jan-pictuted with fake scarfy. Window slams shut.

What a surprise. Ten million is much too small a price unless a large sell on clause for both is inserted. Didn't Meire say that Lookman wouldn't be sold? Does she ever tell the truth?
  • If they sell anyone in the first team it's a joke and makes a mockery of them claiming to do their best to 'secure promotion at the first opportunity.'

I'm probably wrong, but didn't Gomez have some kind of release fee that Liverpool met?

Dele Alli only sold for 5m from league one so wouldn't start expecting 10m+...

£12m to £15m based on Addons...

There are some clubs you want to sell your players to though I doubt we'll deal with them for these two and there are some people who you want negotiating on behalf of your club, we dont have those people!!

    Have no fear.

Am sure Katrien will broker the best possible deals armed with her fearsome reputation and unparalleled negotiating skills.

We know that Richard Cawley is a reliable source, although it may be a case of agents and/or the club flying a kite.

If it happens, it will be a paradigm example of Duchatelet's asset stripping. Standard Liege had their best generation of young players for decades and he had no compunction whatsoever in breaking up the team and selling them off. The man has absolutely zero football ambition and, in terms of running a club, truly does not know his arse from his elbow. Ironically, of course, he will be congratulating himself and Katrien on executing the 'player farm' strategy to a tee.

Losing Konsa after 16 games would be particularly scandalous - so much for realising the true value and potential of young players.

You also get the feeling that Duchatelet would, in addition to covering most of the losses, derive a further collateral benefit from flogging off our two best youngsters, namely, pissing off the supporters who have got under his skin and who fail to appreciate his visionary genius.

Looks like the scouting mission wasn't too successful:

Karl Robinson: Cost of transfers being bumped up when Charlton are linked https://t.co/50Ge54LX9U #cafc

When people hear Katrien is doing the deal the price and wages double.

I wish that wasn't true but, because of her track record, it probably is.

She is a laughing stock amongst other CEOs and agents.

These two are really our last saleable assets before Roland has to cover all the losses from his own pocket so no surprise they will go.
