So konsa and lookman go, what other playing assets are there left for Roland to sell? Bauer maybe? Hopefully these sales will mean he will sell2

Bauer is a right primadonna if you refuse to let him sign for Hoffenheim or Bremen!Todds_right_hook said:So konsa and lookman go, what other playing assets are there left for Roland to sell? Bauer maybe? Hopefully these sales will mean he will sell

Also, players like Solly and Teixeira come to you to tell you they want to leave for a better team, and when questioned it turns out to be Fulham (fecking Fulham?!) which i laugh at and tell them to go away.
Incidentally I sold Konsa in the January window to Stoke of all places for 3.5m includong add ons. Mind you I had been playing him every week and he had grown in ability a lot5 -
I have to say we'd be crazy to turn down £11M for Lookman, presuming the majority is paid upfront.
I just hope that we spend at least half of it, to get in 4/5 1st team players, that should take us into and hopefully win the play offs at Wembley.2 -
Agents will be perking up, even Vaz Te's.
I don't think the buy one get one free regarding Lookman and Konsa to Everton.
I might be wrong but I believe that Konsa was being initially monitored by Everton, but their indifferent form and an ageing squad brought Lookman into the equation.1 -
The money wouldn't go into his pockets anyway, but rather would reduce the massive debt that we owe RD.ShootersHillGuru said:

The less money Duchatelet pockets to offset his expenditure the more money he needs to find from other areas of the club be that playing budget or on capital projects.
I don't want RD making wads from the sale of young talent every season and reinforcing his view that his scheme can work but equally I don't want to see the club go further down the shitter with lack of funding where it's needed.
Rock and a hard place.1 -
if it reduces the debt enough to enable a sale then I'm happy to see Lookie & Konsa gokillerandflash said:

Robinson has already said he will work within financial fair play. Wages must already be close to that limit. He will have to sell before he can bring anyone else in because Duche will not want to pay any fine for going over the wages limit.
With the mess the owners have put us in, with half a first team squad out on loan, I'd imagine it would be impossible for KR to build a decent squad and stay within reasonable finances.1 -
Cawley has good contacts, there is probably some truth in it.1

This is exactly what I was thinking.LargeAddick said:

I find it hard to believe that we comply with FFP given we have 8 players on loan with inferior leagues including Watt and Igor who must be on big bucks not covered by their current sides, and Tex. Plus we have two high profile spin doctors, an army of security all paid for by about 8,000 "customers".johnny73 said:Robinson has already said he will work within financial fair play. I believe FFP in league 1 is dictated by what was spent in the championship, and even if we are paying half of Watt and Vetokeles' wages then that's probably a good 7-8k off the bill a week. Add to that the contract JBG signed (rumours of as much as 15k,probably more like 10-12 and the money generated by the sales of Cousins, Harriott, Pope and the wages freed up from Henderson, Reza, Diarra, Motta and Fanni, and I think you'll find there's a fair bit knocking around.harveys gardener said:

Off field payments, I don't think they come into it at all, and are probably covered by Melexis as opposed to coming out of the playing squad budget.1 -
Lookman isn't going anywhere, Katrien said so remember.....oh.1

When it comes to our outgoing players, transfer fee inflation seems to run rampant. Regarding the article above and looking past the headline figure of £11m.
I quote the sides will 'probably settle on a fee close to £8m with another £3m in ad on's'. Just to keep the record straight.0 -
More like £5m + 2m for lookman and £1m + 0.5p for Konsa.
Remember our negotiating team.0 -
She said he wouldn't be sold in January, that means the deal has be done in December. The Red Robin said:Lookman isn't going anywhere, Katrien said so remember.....oh.

Thst nice Mr Murray said that now we have the very rich Mr D we don't have to sell our young players so soon.1 -
I'm not sure any of this is necessarily a problem. First it's called the Salary Cost Management Protocol. Specifically, and from the EFL web site: These rules require League 1 clubs to limit their spending on players’ wages to 60% of turnover plus 100% of Football Fortune income (e.g. financial donations, transfer income, revenue from cup matches), with a club relegated from the Championship being able to operate at 75% of turnover for a transitional period of one season. So, in short, if we got a random £10mn from a player sale, we could spend the lot of it on players wages (if we so wished). I'm not even sure whether any transfer fees out would come into the equation.

Robinson more open to suggestions from the network scouts?
We went from one extreme to the other with Slade. We shouldn't limit ourselves only to players in British football (assuming they've been scouted properly).0 -
Partial to a bit of wurst but andouille is revolting. Boudin noir and morcilla are my favourites, though.SomervilleAddick said:

That clip says he's an offensive midfielder, oh well he'll go well with our offensive centre half Roger Johnson.13

Decent eye for a pass and great touch.......in that video, League 1 cloggers will be a different prospect.0

Doesn't mean he's not a great player though.4 -
Sunday league standard judging by that clip3

Takes too many touches before doing anything. Only scored one of his 1 on 1 chances. Not particularly fast. The standard of football being played looked non league.
He may look better with good players around him but does not look like a player that can come straight into the squad.1
