According to Colin we have made a 30000 pound bid for Bromley winger Blair Turgott.
It would fit in with Duchatelet general previous strategy of replacing a decent player with an unknown player, not remotely ready for the level, they are being asked to play at.

His imaginary source Is someone on the 'welling committee" ... hownwould he know?
In fairness it's not a bad source. There's a lot of family crossover between Mark and Jerry, so not beyond the realm of possibility that they would know.
I know Blair Turgott, although not for a few years now. Blair was at West Ham where he represented England at a youth level, he is a friend of Jordan Cousins and Callum Harriott. Blair has had spells on loan at other clubs, and then when it became clear his pathways at West ham were limited he signed for Coventry. Coventry have had 'ahem' their issues, so he moved to Orient, again a club with a manager churn and issues too. I don't know the circumstances that took him to Bromley but he is back in his old South London stamping ground. Blair is like a lot of players with a moderately respectable provenance, but has not realised his early potential. His signing would represent a 'controlled' gamble at the right price and wage, but he would be very unlikely to be seen as the signing that sorts us out.

All of this. Saw him play a fair amount at U17 for England with Cousins behind him at RB in a team that also included Nat Chalobah, Nathan Redmond, and Raheem Sterling. He looked pretty good at a young age, but not on level with those lads. Agree if he's done well for Bromley he could be a decent, managed risk at 100k and probably pretty low wages.
Also, I'd have Reeves from MK in a second. Looks good as a #10 or inside out winger cutting in from the right. I'd be surprised if MKD let him go cheaply, though.
Just read this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38381737. I hope he's right. Assume some sort of promise/commitment was made to him when he accepted the job. But maybe not. January should tell us quite a lot.

Anyone else get the impression that Karl might be trying to back the Belgians into a corner by publicly promising signings?
"Our objective is to be in the promised land [the Premier League] like everyone else but we can do that. It will take two, three or four years but they are the visions you have to have." LOL. When have the Belgians ever said that? Have they even thought it? How do they expect to achieve it? Good luck Karl you are already beginning to sound desperate. Hope you have rehearsed those soundbites for when you don't get all you want in January
The coach / manager saying that they need additional players & funds is the quick way to get the tin tack under Duchatelet. As a manager, you get what you are given & if Duchatelet, Meire & Drieson think it is enough, then they have to get on with it. The rumours were that The Belgiums thought the midfield & squad was good enough at the start of the season. This despite anyone with even half a brain that the squad was going to struggle. Slade said 5 players needed, he never got them. Not sure why, Robinson thinks he is going to fare any better, particularly when network favourite O'Loughlin is waiting in the wings.
Slade said 5/6 in July and that was before we signed Pearce, Rudd, Botaka, Magennis, Foley and Ulvestad. Chicksen also came in to replace THD and may have been a few more that left after that point (Diarra being one). He got most of the signings he wanted.
As we usually see since RD tookover we were still after a few more at the end of the window and failed to get them - Henry and Thompson. Not sure if we'd have got Ulvestad as well as Thompson but seeing how we've done since we could have done with both.
