She is just going to have to accept it9

If the 'men' on the train were anything like some of the morons I had the displeasure of being near during the match today then I wouldn't blame her for resigning immediately.
The performance of the players was deeply disappointing but, good god, I felt like I was on a Millwall away day for most of game. When you pay money for a Charlton match you know once a season it's going to be painful. But to be surrounded by utter knob heads for 90 minutes is the memory that lives with me and has turned me off football a little. Hated that.7 -
is she going millwall away?4

Charente, I felt somewhat similar. Couldn't understand the constant C word abuse directed at their keeper by a couple of gobshites near me. Gomes didnt bat an eyelid, but it was relentless, unfunny and pointless.3
-
people will have different views on this - for me, most of the questions were what a lot of fans are thinking but it came across quite aggressively. I wouldn't be happy with someone talking to my mrs/mum etc like that - not on a train where's he's stood over her - I'm sure she was fine but it could have easily been seen as intimidating in an inappropriate environment.OsamaBenHamer said:The bloke in the video is spot on. He's not done anything wrong by asking the questions he did and I'll say it, I'm glad she heard it face to face. Everyone is happy to say things about the ownership and ask questions on here so why should we get all high and mighty if someone does it in real lfe?
But that's just my view!4 -
You must have been near me, lower left. The c word was very liberal and one or two nasty pieces of work around. Really unpleasant.IdleHans said:Charente, I felt somewhat similar. Row BB, seats 72 and 73. Nice when they left early.0

I'm not sure his tone was appropriate, but her sex is irrelevant in this, having just seen the video, he was hostile but controlled, some of the individuals in our end were far angrierRoss_cafc said:

Katrien has a job at Charlton Athletic. Her role does not extend to being harrassed on public transport. If you were involved you should be ashamed14

If only we had a CL badge we could identify each other with. then we could unite to sort them out. I'm too old to do it myself now.soapboxsam said:

A phrase that can also be applied to the leadership of the club this week and the players today.cafcnick1992 said:If you were involved you should be ashamed

Absolutely no abuse in the video of a supporter asking valid questions.

As I said, just my opinion and I'm sure there are plenty who would disagree (men and women) but, while inappropriate directed at anyone, behaving like that is more inappropriate when coming from a bloke directed at a women as, in the most part, it would be more intimidatingly receivedkillerandflash said:

I haven't seen the video, but having been there it did seem over the top and would certainly be seen my most on here as intimidating at the least.1
-
sorry, scared, yes, that's what I meant1

I think she handled herself pretty well. There was no agression towards her. Fair play to her for putting herself in that position and not simply hiding away.
The bloke asking questions lost all credibility the second he started bigging up Paul Jewell.13 - Sponsored links:

I think the fact that she admitted that curbishley applied yet they still went with Luzon wont win her any fans ... possibly even annoy a lot!1
-
Just watched it. What is all the fuss about? Bloody hell, some people on here must have a very low threshold for what counts as aggression.
The only shocking thing on that video is that he's 34.22 -
a supporter or fan does not leave at h/t like this guy. ( i'm proud of the fans who stayed to the bitter end)calydon_road said:Absolutely no abuse in the video of a supporter asking valid questions.
Plus he must of been pissed to mention Paul Jewell !

Legitimate questions asked, perhaps he could work on his delivery but credit to Katrien, thought she handled herself well.0
-
I'm hoping what he meant was, on record alone, EVEN Paul Jewell's application should have had some consideration.1

Haven't seen the clip so will only be guided by what I've read. Yeah she got stick. Rightly so. There is a big difference between being angry and being threatening. It sound like someone was just telling her what most of us want to say to her. If you wanna hold the position she does at a club that has gone through what we have this past week, then travel home with the fans are a humiliating drubbing expecting to sing a few rounds of Valley Floyd Road, like you would on a day out, you're either naive, stupid or simply don't understand what football means to the fans. Just because she is female, doesn't mean she shouldn't hear a few home truths. Look at Karen Brady, I bet your bottom dollar she would have sat and taken a whole heap of shit, because she gets it. Even bloody delia smith gets it! If you want to be woman in charge of a professional club, genuinely good luck. No reason why a woman couldn't be a success......but learn to take the rough with the smooth.3

Stop shouting then. ;-)SilentAddick said:

AGREED, and those LOSERS does not understand the fact that once one shouts, they've lost the debate, morons!stilladdicted said:How many shouting brave men did it take to bring Katrien close to tears. They must be feeling so proud of themselves.

The bald guy in the video is a massive prick. He stands at the back of the lower north sometimes and shouts absolute crap that makes no sense whatsoever. He's never positive about anything and often has to be told to shut up.
Whilst he doesn't appear to intimidate Katrien, he talks over her quite a lot and doesn't let her get her point across.
I felt quite uncomfortable watching that as he was clearly looking for an argument. Fair play to her for answering the questions, I hope she didn't feel too awkward. Clearly she is limited as to what she can and can't say, I wish some people would realise that.8 -
whereabouts on facebook is the vid?0
