Thought he was class today and defo one for the future...with CAFC......get him signed up now on a long term contract....I would even go as far to say we could build a decent team around him, Cousins and AA. Now come on RD get your wallet out and show us what you keep talking about......building a team with emerging youth!!

There's a reason why you don't see people complaining about the Stephens transfer, Poyet has been a class act since he's come in. Need to get him to sign a new contract as soon as possible.

That tackle was the icing on the cake to a brilliant performance. Could well be going to Spain but its either Barca or Real

Play Off finalesqe tackle, and all round excellent performance, and he is improving, last time at the Valley he made two errors, this time it was only one.
  • Quality! That is all!

  • That tackle was different class today

Reminiscent of Stevie Brown's tackle in the play-off final. Great desire and demonstrable proof that these boys are still fighting for each other and the gaffer.

For all the wailing and gnashing of teeth at Dale Stephens departure, I would say, based on today's evidence, Astrid, Cousins and Poyet are all better than him.

Came in here to praise his Brilliant tackle in Onuoha who is a big unit.
He was superb today. Knackered at the end but he was superb today. An absolute gem
  • Sign him up Roland please.
  • what a player
  • We have a seriously talented lad on our hands here. I truly believe he will go on to play at the very highest level. The sky's the limit!!
  • Some of the crunching tackles Diego Poyet put in today reminded me of a young Scotttie Parker, with hair extensions.

scotty parker once had a serious barnet as well at the same age i remember. Very good comparisons actually.

Thought he played well and amazed to see a Charlton side which so tall!!
  • Really hope he signs up.

Solly, wiggins, Gomez, Morrison, Poyet, cousins, Harriet, Holmes Dennis, aherne grant, piggy, Edwards,Lennon....

Lots of great, young, potential there if we can keep them.

Much better "footballer" than Parker. Not quite the energy or tenacity but better technique

Promoting him to the First Team could be what saves us from Relegation...

Since Stephens and Kermorgant have gone (with him one of the players coming in) we seem to pass the ball forward more and we dont hoof it either

I'm confident he will sign - as long as we stay up - would be a terrible footballing error not to. At this stage in his career he needs to play and learn and there probably isn't a better place to do that, than with coaches that know him and his strengths and weaknesses. He has a dad in the game so he'll get the right advice.
  • I would guess that Diego is being advised by his father who might have suggested to wait until he knows if CP is staying

Possibly - I think he doesn't need league one and that probably is the biggest reason. I suspect we won't get relegated and he'll sign.

Although Poyet hasn't got a pizza face, unlike spotty.

I think either him or Wilson should have a haircut! For identification purposes that is!
