Dervite 7 - Same as Morrison, but that back-pass was a shocker! Wiggins 7 - Good drive, but lacked a bit of end product. Green 5 - Not necessarily his fault, he needs to played in on the front foot and that did not happen, but he did go missing. Cousins 8.5 - Really pushed Wilson for MOM Poyet 7 - Good, but had a bit of a tendency to make a good tackle and then give the ball away, but he is great and will only improve. Jackson 8.5 - Wow! Thuram - 6.5 honestly nothing to do, other than gather that ball that flew across he goal-face towards the end. One dodgy moment after a ball that should never have been played back to him.
Wilson - 7 a few errors, but hassled & harried and did well.
Morrison - 7 solid. One little slip, but still managed some very good blocks throughout game
Dervite - 7.5 was a little worried, if I am honest when I saw the team, but was very impressed. Pushed up, closed down quickly and some good play out.
Wiggins - 6.5 below his best but understandable after a break and did pick it up towards the end. Delighted to see him back.
Green - 6 his throws were the most dangerous part of his game. Really want him to succeed, if only to see goals of the calibre of Derby away more often. Did close down well a few times and some good blocks.
Cousins - 7.5 solid in the middle. Seemed a bit upset initially when Astrit came on and the instruction seemed to be for him to move wide.
Poyet - 8.5 wow! Seems to have all the poise, composure and time on the ball that I would expect from a seasoned, top-class midfielder. He & Jordan could be the best centre-mid pairing we've had for many years. Superb tackle in the build up to the goal.
Jackson - 7.5 great captain's performance. Actually got better as the game went on and loved seeing his celebration of that goal. Thank you JJ
Reza - 6 can't believe that one didn't go in. Still finding his feet, but think he'll do well
Church - 6 usual performance. Nothing too wrong with that, but we're in a position where we need a little more.
