"1,300 sold so far for the FA Cup"

what time was that ? think the office shuts for the day soon so hopefully we will get a total for the day
Some guy on twitter said he just asked about 10 mins ago.
  • Can imagine tomorrow near doubling today, would imagine 4200 sold by close of play tomorrow tbh, 1000 or so left for general sales which will sell. Clubs pay day including the coach profits and anyone else getting a few home tickets while they're at it!
  • @CAFCofficial: Spoke to @CAFCTickets while leaving The Valley. More than 1,400 FA Cup tickets sold on day one of restricted sale! (IL) #cafc

  • Definitely make general sale on Monday.
  • Today was just valley gold, etc. Tomorrow is season ticket holders so loads will go tomorrow!
  • Booked hotel for the saturday, so hope there will be some left on Monday - i'm sure there will.
  • We've booked the hotel, an travel is sorted...but don't have any stubs or record of my aways. Panic is starting to set in

I think around 3,000 will go tomorrow. Maybe even a few more?

Also i think a replay wouldn't be a million miles off a full house at the valley...
  • 2 tickets done. Train tickets booked too. Sheffield here we come.

  • I do not want to burst anyone's bubble but I was told today the club are selling tickets on Saturday meaning there are 2 x full days of selling before they go on general sale on Monday. A lot of you seem to just be calculating tomorrow's (Friday) sales.

Shadow Sports Minster calls on FA to consider Charlton fans for FA Cup 1/4 final v Sheff U - earliest train arrives AFTER noon kick off

And the Shadow Sports Minister is a Millwall fan! My MP, a bloody good local MP and a very nice bloke.
  • I wish I could go ;-(
  • Be good to get Friday updates of queues etc

Don't want to worry you, but I've just driven along Floyd Road.

That looks like an old photo player of the year 1990s or pub in town after away game i think.

Just bought 1400 tickets , not into ticket touting or anything , but if you want to give me 100 quid a pop, we'll see if we can do a deal.

  • What annoys me is that I work.shifts and have for the past 4 years. I can't have a season ticket - even in league one I did loads of away games now I.may miss out on Sheffield due.to restrictions! Might end up at home watching on the telly! Wanna be.there though!
  • I've spent over a fiver ringing cafc this month... Wonder how much more it will be today

Quite cold out in the open in a sleeping bag last night don't know how those first in the queue Boxing Day sales enthusiasts do it every year. Good job I had my thermos and blanket with me as well :-)
  • The 4 tickets per season ticket allows you to order your seats together. If we were to go to Wembley, I would order 4, but the other 3 ST holders that go to games with me would not be ordering any.

I would not like this rule changed and believe the club has got it about right. We all have our own stories as to why we do not have season tickets/ can't go to all home games/ away games etc. The priority system identifies those that have demonstrated their commitment to the club. There will always be deserving cases that get excluded.

If you are not in one of the groups, I suggest you make every effort to find someone that can get you a ticket for Wembly!

  • Reckon it'll go to a replay which won't do us any favours

So four of you together. All have season tickets so one each bought at same time perfect. So why do you need the facility to buy 16!

  • Because one of them rings up and gets 4 seats together - the other 3 don't ring at all.

If they all rang separately for one seat each - they would not be seated together.
  • On the way to the valley now. Exciting times.
  • Some of you are starting to look and sound like wendies fans, assuming we have won already, that is a total dis-respect to the oppostion....remember first hour at home to oxford....oh i forgot some whinging here didnt bother to go.....

This will be a bloody lot harder than the other games....dont get carried away...after all you know what Charlton are like.

Never, in my considerably long lifetime, have Charlton won an equivalent game. So yes we do know and anyone banking on a trip to Wembley needs a cold shower.

Also, look who Blades have beaten. They are there on merit. I am going to stick as much as I can afford on them to go through. It's a licence to print money and if a once in a lifetime surprise occurs and I lose I will be delighted. I think it's called hedging my emotions. Take my advice fellow lifers, especially if you believe in fate.

Argh! One rings with the four numbers. None of it means they have to be able to buy 16 tickets!

Thanks VP. Makes one wonder if some have booked more than one ticket before. I bet they do not even take a flask of something warming, let alone a blanket.
