You think if we lose we deserve to go down and also think we'll lose? Our squad is better than deserving to go down! Our lack of a striker is the only reason we are where we are.

Barnsley are playing Burnley and Millwall are playing Wigan. Not counting any chickens, I think it's reasonable to expect two defeats.

In that respect, you could call tonight a game in hand at a stretch. There is a full programme tonight though.

Our true games in hand are Barnsley (H) and Watford (H).

Yeo, that's what I sort of meant in the earlier post. I blame old age!!! :-)

Can't remember when I last felt so pessimistic about a Charlton home game.

Oh yes. It was Saturday when I saw that name on the team sheet again.

We will start the game dominating possession without looking threatening in front of goal.
About 15 minutes in the Yeovil fans get restless and start singing 'Charltons a shithole I want to go home.
The North Upper will retort with 'Your sister is your mother, your father is your brother....'
Nothing else much happens on the pitch until Half Time.
News that Millwall are somehow 1 - 0 up at Wigan.
Second half, Yeovil start pumping long balls into our area for some generic lower division donkey journeyman to try and get his head on to.
They pile more bodies forward and we break. Reza through on goal forces a good save from their keeper. Corner.
    Morrison/Dervite arrive unmarked 1 - 0. Fifteen minutes remaining.
News that Wigan have equalised and Millwall have had a man sent off.
Yeovil revert to a formation of 2-0-8 and spend the remaining time pumping long high balls into the box.
With one minute remaining of added on time the ball falls loose, a huge school playground style bundle follows and they manage to scramble an equaliser.
We draw 1 - 1, Millwall hang on to a draw, and Barnsley draw with Burnley. Derby win at Blackpool.
We sit in the pub after the game saying " Well at least we've gained a point on Blackpool' and nobody behind us has caught up'
My alarm goes off at 05.30 tomorrow with me feeling the worse for wear and wondering what the hell I was thinking of renewing my season ticket before I knew what division we'd be in next season.

Or being negative, a nervous Burnley , with their injuries up top, fail to break down Barnsley, while Wigan rest several players for their FA Cup game this weekend, and lose to Millwall...

The law of averages say we should get a first half goal - so for no other erason than it has to happen sometime - I think that will happen. This will cause Yeovil to chase the game and we have a couple of good opportunities in the second half before they get an equaliser with 15 to go. We hear that Barnsley and Millwall are 1 up and the game becomes end to end......4 minutes of injury time and Yeovil are given a soft penalty - their player whacks it so hard against the crossbar that it bounces out and puts Reza in - who calmly beats their keeper 1v1. We survive a couple of corners through desperate defending and on the final whistle, we hear that Barnsley and Millwall were 1 down not one up and both have lost. We go home happy for a change!

Such an important match. After the Leeds win I was so confident but one defeat and the wins for the other teams have really deflated me. Everyone on here seems to be so worried and I am one if them. Defeat tonight really puts us in big trouble. Then again 2 years ago was it not Yeovil who came to the Valley and we beat then to get back on track League One glory? That was then...2-0 Yeovil.

big big game - although I feel next week v Barnsley is bigger as its one of our games in hand.

still don't know where the goals are going to come from, but we have to score some day so why not tonight and we don't lose on a tues night.

2-1 to the boys in red.

Although most seem to think that Yeovil are high scorers, they have only scored more than 4 teams.

They have also let in more goals than all bar 2.

I'm not confident. But it's Tuesday, so I'll go 2-1 to Charlton.

At this stage of the season performances mean morning. All that matters are points. We can't allow Yeovil to get all 3.
1-1 and results going are way is what I hope and expect

    Subs interesting..
  • Not a bad line up. I'm looking for three points out of that but let's see.

I'm sure Reza is more on form to score than Church.

  • We usually do alright on Tuesday's but this could go either way.

We can defend but can't score, they can score but can't defend.

I'm going to put money on 3-2 Charlton win

I think I'd rather have the weak attack at least you're not conceding that way! Ha.
  • On that note, it's 1-0!!!!!
