How does Watson control those drives? Am sure I look like that with feet jumping off the ground and body all over place but certainly don't get same result!!
I'm all for Bubba. We are told that the Masters is won on the the back nine on the the last day, when the pins are positioned to help scoring. The media, and I have BBC TV, SKY and BBC Radio on, are still trying to make out that there is some excitement to come. There isn't. The rest of the field have been very disappointing with no challenge coming from anyone. It is reported that Bubba Watson has never had one golf lesson in his life. That to me is a true champion in sport and I look forward to Adam Scott returning the compliment to Bubba. Without the main man there though, I personally would add a asterisk to any winner.
Yes you will be OK each way on 5th Place - Paddy Power pay out on first 6, not sure on the others. Great entertainment as always. I was dreaming of a big payout when Spieth holed his putt on the 7th but his inexperience cost him in the end. Nevertheless a very nice payout on the E/W at 10 - 1 a place. Fair play to Bubba who held his nerve well coming in.
Matt88 you will get paid to half your stake as he was tied 5th unless you placed the bet with a bookies that pays first 6 and then you will get paid to full stake.
Can't remember what PP's deal was, but the e/w bets paid out at 1.75 / 1 on Kuchar (having backed at 18s) and 8.25 / 1 on Spieth (backed at 33s). So they paid out a quarter of the odds on Spieth, but less than a 10th on Kuchar.
Anyway, some great golf and Watson absolutely deserved it with the way he controlled that last round. The man mullers those drives and has such accuracy, it's amazing to watch.
If you backed him before the Masters started you should have got the full I/4 odds on Kuchar as PP were paying E/W on the 1st 6 and Kuchar was joint 5th with Ricky Fowler. My mum backed Kuchar E/W and got paid the full 1/4 odds. Might have been different if you backed Kuchar after the Masters started.
Comment from a top pro today (I forget who) that Augusta favours southpaw players, hookers as opposed to slicers .. 6 of the past 12 winners have been left handed .. (in fact that is 3 golfers, Weir, Mickelson 3 times and Bubba twice)

I didn't bother betting this week, I wouldn't have picked Bubba. Now is when it gets really interesting.
